Three pieces of advice from Yuri Stolyarov:
1. Taking care of your skin
Make-up must be removed correctly, and cleansers should be used not once a week, but every day.
Don’t buy lotions that dry out your skin a lot. She needs moisturizing first of all. The best cleansers are micellar water and oily two-phase makeup removers. They do not dry out the skin and allow you to really quickly remove cosmetics. After cleansing, apply a toner to remove any residual makeup remover.
If the skin is peeling, the dead particles must be removed. Make a gentle exfoliation, and then be sure to apply a nourishing regenerating mask or nourishing cream. Exfoliation and nutrition should go hand in hand.
Remember: restorative, nourishing, deep cleansing, warming masks are always best done at night. Before makeup, you need to use firming and moisturizing masks (look for masks with the words “Firming”, “Lifting” or Firming Masque). This will make your pores less visible and make your makeup last and look much better.
2. Choosing the right tone
The color of the foundation should not be different from the color of your neck. Otherwise, even the most delightful makeup will turn your face unkempt. Test the foundation on the border of the face and neck.
If you need to locally mask imperfections (primarily colored ones), use a slightly denser tool – a corrector. But only locally, for example, in the area of dark circles under the eyes. Don’t go overboard with applying concealer to the area around your eyes where there are fine lines. Otherwise, when you smile, excess cream will collect in ugly folds. On the area of mimic wrinkles, you can put special correctors that contain silicone, lifting and reflective pigments.
Powder against skin imperfections is powerless. Do not try to hide something with it. The powder is not a concealer, it fixes makeup and removes oily shine.
3. Hide the flaws
Before you start masking facial imperfections, highlight your strengths. Just don’t overdo it. If you have plump lips and big eyes, you don’t need to paint them any more. It is enough to just emphasize.
Blush will help to make the prominent chin less visible. Just darken the bottom of your chin. If you have a wide face, darken the peripheral areas of your cheeks. Move the blush towards the temple. You should have vertical lines that form an obtuse triangle extending upward.
To hide a wide forehead, darken the peripheral areas of the forehead. Want to hide your wide nose? Darken the sides of the nose. If you need to visually reduce the length of the nose, apply blush to the tip.
Owners of not very large eyes should not use contrasting eyeliner. Their option is shading, it always visually enlarges the eyes. Place the pencil a little darker and more contrast at the lash edge, and blend the borders with a softer shade of shadow. This softened version of smoky eyes enlarges the eyes because, in essence, you kill your own shape and draw the new one you want.
