Pay-per-view fishing is popular in most developed countries. For residents of cities near Moscow and Moscow, many private ponds and fish farms provide their services. There, paid fishing is carried out for many types of fish that you can’t even meet in the Moscow region, but there are restrictions on fishing methods and fishing rates. Of course, for the use of the reservoir for fishing, you will have to pay the owner a certain amount.

What is a paid reservoir? Usually this is a pond with an adjacent territory, which is fenced off from outside visitors. On the territory there is a building in which anglers can change clothes, rent gear. Eateries are often located near the pond, drinks and food are sold. The fishing grounds have been improved. There are scaffolds from which you can fish without getting dirty in the silt and mud on the shore, and also having more comfort in throwing gear. You can ask for a large umbrella, a table with stools and combine successful fishing with relaxation with friends and acquaintances.
However, there are a number of restrictions on the behavior of anglers on the spot. It is forbidden:
- Interfere with other participants
- Occupy seats other than those assigned to you personally
- Use for fishing methods that harm the fish industry: explosives, electric fishing rods, spears or harpoons
- Break the law, behave depravedly
- Break and damage the equipment of a paid reservoir
- Throw garbage, dead fish, pour liquids into the water
- Swimming is usually prohibited
- Violate other rules and agreements on paid fishing in a particular reservoir.
Before you open a paysite, it is usually stocked with fish. The owner of the reservoir acquires juvenile fish or adult live fish and releases them into the reservoir. Usually, detailed information about when, in what quantity and composition of stocking was posted by the owner for review. Usually even a video about this is in the public domain with a date. It is best to choose such payers in which it was produced not so long ago. Otherwise, you can buy a ticket and sit all day on the shore of an empty puddle, all the fish from which have long been caught.
Before you come fishing, you should call in advance and arrange. On good pay sites, places usually sell out quickly, especially on weekends, and their number is limited. At the same time, it is stipulated how many people will be, what gear they will use. All fishing rules are set personally by the owner of the reservoir and can be very different from the generally accepted ones. If you violate them, you may be asked to leave the territory and pay a fine.
Given the limitations of paid reservoirs and their small size, it is most often forbidden to use a boat. It makes it possible to catch where it was not originally intended, to intersect with other participants in fishing, creating interference. It is also more difficult for anglers on a boat to control how they catch, how many fish they catch. In most cases, the owners of the payer rely on the honesty of their customers. It is impossible to assign an overseer to everyone, but cultured people will not break the rules and spoil the property of another person who gave them the opportunity to rest.
Rules for fishing on paid reservoirs
There are several types of rules by which fishing on pay sites is carried out.
- Time pass. The owner of the reservoir provides the fishing participant with a place for fishing, specifies the ways in which you can catch fish, the types of fish that are allowed to be caught. In this case, fishing is carried out for a period of time, usually set in hours. It is profitable to catch on a paysite during those hours when there are not so many people there, since the price during this time is usually small.
- Catch of a certain weight. Fishing is carried out throughout the day, but the catch should not exceed certain limits. If one fish comes across especially large, or if you want to continue fishing after reaching the limit, this is specially negotiated. When fishing, you need to be sure of the result, otherwise there is a risk of paying for a ticket, and not reaching the limit, or catching very little. It is often practiced on paysites that have been stocked with juveniles in order to let them grow up a little.
- Buy caught fish. The angler can catch as many permitted methods as he likes, but he must put all the fish he catches in the cage. At the end of fishing, the fish is weighed, and the angler is obliged to buy it at a certain price, usually a little lower than in the store. Most widely practiced. Usually, when a certain weight is caught, the excess of the limit goes towards the purchase.
- Caught – let go. Contrary to popular belief, releasing caught fish into a pond is not a good idea, and most of their owners agree with this. Caught fish are usually injured and start to get sick, infecting other inhabitants of the pond. In addition, she can scare away a large flock from a fishing spot, depriving all fishermen of their catch. When fishing, certain rules are stipulated. For example, it is forbidden to use double and triple hooks, hooks with a beard, to take fish in your hands and use only lip-grip, use a net with a soft net, be sure to use an extractor to extract the hook, etc. Such restrictions are especially severe on trout paysites near Moscow , when catching sturgeon fish.
- Catch as much as you want. You can come to a paid reservoir and catch as many fish as you like, taking a place allocated for such fishing. However, not all types of fish are allowed to be caught, but only certain ones. So, on most carp paysites, you can catch crucian carp, roach and perch without restrictions, on trout – pike and rotan. It also happens that the pond is going to be lowered before cleaning, and the owner may let several people fish according to a certain scheme, allowing them to take out any fish they catch, or giving such permission to officials as a bribe. If a fish is caught that is not included in these conditions, it will need to be purchased by weight, but usually at a higher price.
Types of paid reservoirs
All payers are usually divided into two large types: with predatory fish species and with non-predatory ones. Mixed ones are quite rare. Usually in those that are focused on breeding carp, tench, crucian carp, etc. predators are weedy fish that can exterminate another. Where predatory fish are raised, it will be difficult to grow enough valuable non-predatory fish, as they will also be predated and stressed.
Nevertheless, quite often a paid reservoir is reoriented from one type of fish to another. This is due to the fact that when growing only one, parasites and diseases accumulate, which will affect it more, while others will be harmless. Also, the reservoir may become clogged with small fish that are of no practical importance, and for its extermination they can stock the reservoir with a predator – usually a pike. After the number of small fish has decreased, pike are caught and adults of valuable non-predatory species are released there.
By size, such water areas can be conditionally divided into small and large. In a large body of water, there are usually more fishermen and more likely that a lot of fish will be in one point. It is also more difficult to control its composition and livestock, the behavior of customers during fishing. In small reservoirs, when fishing, everyone usually has equal chances, and the likelihood that a person has caught in one place, and everyone is sitting fifty meters away without a catch, is much less.
By price, payers are divided into two main groups – VIP and regular. On ordinary paysites, you can often find VIP zones, where the chances of catching good fish are much higher than usual. Such zones are usually identified during fishing trips, where the catches of the participants are maximum. The price per day of fishing in ordinary fishing is about two to three thousand rubles, in VIP areas it is two to three times more, plus there is a requirement to pay for the fish caught by weight.
Is it worth it to fish on paid ponds
Many believe that fishing on a paid reservoir is contrary to the rules of free hunting, where a person finds fish in the wild, grown in natural conditions, and tries to deceive and catch it. However, this does not take into account the fact that fish in the wild is becoming less and less. Moreover, it often exists there only thanks to the work of people who serve the fish factories, helping it to multiply, feeding the fry.
The second fact in favor of the fact that it is worth catching on a paysite is a guaranteed catch. There are much more fish there than in the same water area of the public river. Fishing conditions are much more pleasant. A busy person who works can go to a body of water near his home, spend time sitting among the mud and debris on the shore, not catch anything, and even run into some drunkards who decide to drive him away from the place of fishing. It will be a shame for the time and nerves spent, and the gear is not cheap.
On the contrary, on a paid reservoir near Moscow, you can find suitable conditions, a comfortable environment, a barbecue and a gazebo, clean shores and water without plastic bags floating in it. You can find out what kind of fish is here, what it bites on. The owner provides this information, since he is not interested in a disappointed client leaving him without a catch. And having gone fishing far, a lot of money will be lost on the road, and the catch is not guaranteed.
Environmental safety is another reason to go fishing on a pay site. The fact is that the Moscow region suffers from dirt, harmful substances. Most of them end up in the water, and the fish grown in it are usually unfit for food and dangerous to humans. Not a single owner of the paysite will allow wastewater to be drained there, so the fish that is found there is protected to a large extent from the effects of harmful substances, it can be eaten without fear.
In Japan and the USA, there has long been such a practice of fishing, when a busy person can come to a paid reservoir, cast a bait and, with pleasure, catch a couple of good fish in a paid reservoir. With us, this is still in its infancy, but the paid ponds near Moscow are the most numerous, and they can be found on different directions and roads.
Some ponds where there is paid fishing without a catch rate
- Yusupovo. Kashirskoe highway. Fishing costs from one and a half to three thousand per day, there is an hourly rate. Fishing of valuable species is paid, unless it is included in the additional conditions. For example, there are tariffs with a catch rate, where you can take up to 15-25 kg with you free of charge, and then you have to pay. You can catch crucian, roach and perch without restrictions.
- Vilar. Butovo. Fishing goes without restrictions on the norm, the fee is only for a ticket. Individuals over 5 kg will need to be purchased. Three ponds, prices are moderate, you can come with a family of three, more guests are paid separately.
- Ikshanka. Dmitrovsky district. Permits daily, with the norm. There is a ticket without a norm with a separate payment for the catch after the fact.
- Golden carp. Schelkovsky district. A huge body of water with a moderate cost of permits. All fish can be caught without restriction, except for trout, whitefish and sturgeon. For these fish, the catch is paid separately.
- Mosfisher (Vysokovo). Chekhov district, Simferopol highway. There is a VIP zone in the pond where you can fish at an hourly rate. In the rest of the pond, you can fish without the norm at daily, day or night rates. Fishing for crucian carp is free, the rest of the fish is paid according to the tariff.
- Savelyevo. Three ponds from one owner. One is on the Leningrad highway, the other is in Pirogovo, the third is in Olgovo. The largest and stocked pond is on the Leningrad highway. Three zones, regular, sport and VIP, with payment at separate rates. Catching fish without restrictions with payment after the fact, low-value fish – free of charge.
- Savelyevo – Olgovo. The second payer of this owner. Pirogovo is not considered, since there is a limit of 30 kg, and it does not fall under the topic of this article. Two ponds, there is a VIP zone. Only trout and carp are paid, there is no catch limit.
