Our doctor’s opinion about lichen planus

Lichen planus in its common cutaneous form is often distressing for the patient, especially as it is accompanied by itching. However, lichen planus tends to heal spontaneously within a year in half of cases and within a year and ½ in 85% of cases. Common cutaneous lichen planus is therefore most often a good prognosis.

In these isolated cutaneous forms, doctors are therefore often content to fight only against the itching accelerates healing by the application of cortisone creams, or even the recommendation of moderate exposure to the sun.
