New Year’s Fun – Fortune Cookies

Until now, it is not known for certain where the fortune cookies came from. The Chinese, Japanese and Americans argue over the right to be called the people who invented this fun cookie. In the meantime, they argue, catch his recipe.

Fortune cookies are perfect for a friendly feast, a family festive table and, of course, will be relevant in the New Year, when it is especially believed that everything planned will come true.

Prepare predictions

They must all be kind. So predictions will charge your loved ones with a good mood, faith in a brighter future and, possibly, encourage you to new achievements. Write them by hand or print with a printer. Notes should be approximately 7 x 1 cm.

You can come up with prophecies yourself or use these ideas:

  • Many incidents and interesting travels await you – to England or to Nice – wherever fate will dispose!
  • You have friends, acquaintances of the sea! And everyone will come to visit soon!
  • You will have cakes, sweets and other small joys!
  • Stay tuned for news very soon! Get ready to host and entertain guests!
  • Gingerbread and sweets – there will be a lot of joy! A holiday and fun awaits you at the end of the week.
  • Fate will gild your pen and send you a solid paycheck! Or you will find a wallet. … And this is all in the near future
  • You are destined to live up to a hundred years without any storms and troubles!
  • It is written clearly, without blots: a gift awaits you soon!
  • Every day and every hour someone thinks of you.

Make a cookie

Ingredients for 12-15 pieces:

  • 2 pcs. Egg white
  • 60 g. Flour
  • 60 g Sugar
  • At the tip of a knife. Vanillin
  • A small piece. Butter
  • Optional. Cinnamon, ginger, or other spices
  • For decoration. Food colors, cocoa

Preparation:

1. Beat the egg whites lightly until frothy.

2. Add flour, sugar, vanillin spices and stir until smooth.

3. Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Cover a baking sheet with parchment, grease with butter. At a distance of about 10 cm from each other, place 1 teaspoon of dough on a baking sheet. Flatten the dough. Flat pancakes with a diameter of about 8 cm should come out.

4. On one baking sheet, send no more than 4 cookies at a time: you need to wrap the predictions before the cookie has cooled down.

5. Bake the pancakes in the oven for 5-8 minutes, until the edges are lightly browned. The middle should remain pale. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and turn the cookies over quickly using a spatula.

6. Place a note on each pancake and fold it in half. Immediately grab the ends of the cookie and fold it by pressing the center of the cookie over the edge of the mug.

7. Transfer the finished cookies to muffin tins or small mugs so they don’t open.

8. While one batch of cookies is cooling, cook another. Cookies cool completely in 15-30 minutes.

9. Decorate your cookies. You can dip it in melted chocolate and decorate with confectionery sprinkles or coconut flakes while it is still fresh.

Interesting fact

Briton Danny Williams from Essex County won half a million dollars in the summer of 2008 by writing the numbers that were on the cookie prediction into a lottery ticket. Who knows, perhaps fate will be just as kind to you!
