Mucus cobweb is a member of the large family of cobweb mushrooms of the same name. This type of fungus should not be confused with the slimy cobweb.

It grows throughout Eurasia, as well as in North America. He likes conifers (especially pine forests), as well as mixed forests.

The fruit body is represented by a cap and a pronounced stem.

head quite large (diameter up to 10-12 centimeters), at first it has a bell-shaped shape, then, in adult mushrooms, it is flatter, with very uneven edges. In the center, the cap is denser, along the edges – thin. Color – yellowish, brown, brown.

The surface is very abundantly covered with mucus, which may even hang from the cap. The lower plates are rare, brown or brown.

Leg in the form of a spindle, up to 20 cm long. It has a white color, in some specimens even with a slight blueness. Lots of slime. Also on the leg there may be remnants of the canvas (in the form of several rings or flakes).

Pulp white, cream. There is no smell or taste.

It belongs to the edible species of mushrooms, but pre-treatment is required. In the Western special literature, it is noted as an inedible species of mushrooms.
