How do I get to Milan?

To get to Milan you can either take the car, the plane or the train, day or night. The latter solution may be easier with children. Not only are you no longer limited in luggage, but you leave and arrive in the city center. Another advantage is that children can sleep a good part of the trip.

– by plane : for a Paris-Milan flight, departing on May 1, count around 200 euros round trip for an adult with a national company (Air France or Alitalia).

Note: if you can take off from Beauvais, near Paris, the price drops to 70 euros round trip.

– by train : the trip to Milan can be done at night, by sleeper train, very practical with children. When you book with Thello, one of the specialists in Italy, your trip in a 4-berth compartment will cost you 204 euros (departure on May 1). Another option: if you book a cabin with three beds, the price is 255 euros and you travel only with your family.

Accommodation for families

The hotel is good but it is a very expensive solution. For 7 nights in a 3-star hotel in central Milan, on these very busy dates, count around 1500 euros per adult per week and around 20% less for children.

Another possibility, very trendy in recent years, to rent an apartment to a private individual for the week. Economical and practical, this gives you complete freedom in the organization of the day, while enjoying the classic amenities of an apartment. A formula that also saves money by avoiding going to restaurants with the children too often.
