When choosing potted plants, we usually think about aesthetic values. We want them to decorate our homes and please the eye. Often the choice is accompanied by pragmatism – we are busy and we would prefer the flower standing on the windowsill not to be too demanding in cultivation.

What if you could combine beauty with a beneficial effect on health? It is obvious that plants guarantee a fresh supply of oxygen or purify the air. Having studied the topic a bit, we will notice that they regulate the humidity in the interior, eliminate fungi, bacteria and viruses. A conscious choice of potted plants will allow us to reap the benefits for health and well-being.

Fresh plant leaves are the most valuable!

  • Peppermint treats disturbed functioning of the digestive tract, including intestinal colic, abdominal pain, indigestion and nausea, soothes cold sores and pustules with chickenpox. It allows you to recover faster after jaundice, promotes the treatment of liver failure and cholecystitis.
  • Melissa, referred to as the “lemon herb”, relieves nausea occurring in the first trimester of pregnancy, digestive system ailments, menstrual pain, fungal infections, herpes. It has a positive effect on the nervous system, improves memory and concentration, and at the same time calms down and makes it easier to fall asleep.
  • Feathered livewort supports the fight against acne, rheumatic ailments, as well as respiratory infections. Eliminates bacteria, viruses, streptococci, staphylococci and fungi. Cleans wounds from dead tissues and pus, thanks to which their healing is faster. Liver is rich in macro-, microelements and vitamin C.
  • Aloe is a plant rich in barbaloins, aloins and aloe emodins, i.e. substances that strengthen and fight bacteria. The last of them increases the chance of winning with leukemia.   • Sage officinalis optimizes the secretion of gastric acids, supports the treatment of sore throat, reduces heartburn. Eliminates aphthae, thrush, skin itching and irritation. It contains a wealth of organic acids, vitamins A, C and group B. There is no shortage of sodium, potassium, iron, magnesium, zinc and calcium.
  • Basil is also a favourite. Added to food, it will make it extremely aromatic and improve digestion. It is recommended for depression, because it has a calming effect, but also in the treatment of flu and colds, because it relieves cough, sore throat and fever. It supports our body in fighting inflammation of the bladder and kidneys.
