I am a longtime fan of MAC decorative cosmetics, I consider this brand one of the best. Lipsticks from the Riri line, in the creation of which the singer Rihanna herself took part, I wanted to try right away. In total, the collection features four matte shades for every taste: RiriWoo red, Nude cream, TalkToTalk plum, Who’sThatChick orange. I liked the second tone, which looks very natural.
First of all, I carefully read the lipstick press release. So, the manufacturer promised a pleasant texture and durability. I can say that all these properties were justified. The lipstick fits perfectly on the skin of the lips, and also lasts long enough. The only thing I would like to note: it is better to use a primer before applying it, otherwise it dries lips very much.
By the way, now Riri Woo lipstick, MAC, is a hit of the brand. I have also heard many positive comments about the Riri collection from my friends. But quite by accident I discovered a negative review of lipstick from our Russian singer Victoria Daineko. On Twitter, she claimed that this is the worst lipstick she has ever used. This criticism seemed very strange to me and my friends. Maybe Victoria just didn’t use a primer before applying?

To be honest, I don’t like to use lipstick. On the one hand, of course, sometimes I want color and brightness, but I am confused by the feeling of something extra on my lips. This is exactly the situation when “you want to, and pricks.” True, in the Long Last Lipstick from Clinique, the shade Spanish Rose, I liked everything. The texture is pleasant and gliding, it even seems to moisturize when applied. The manufacturer claims that the coating is matte and velvety, with which I fundamentally disagree. If you apply lipstick in the traditional way, that is, in a fairly thick layer, you still get the effect of “wet lips”. At the same time, the lipstick really turned out to be resistant. It lasts for several hours, however, it still leaves unpleasant marks on the mugs and cheeks of friends. I prefer to blot my lips with a napkin after applying lipstick or apply it, blending it with the pads of my fingers. Then the effect turns out to be really very natural and at the same time bright. With this application, the color lasts until the end of the working day. Ever since I got Long Last Lipstick, I try to dye it up as often as possible: the shade from the autumn-winter collection is very pleasant and appetizing. It reminds me of some kind of berry mix. It is a pity that the color and smell do not correspond to it at all.

I liked this lipstick as a neutral shade (I got the shade Baby Pink), which, in my opinion, is perfect for natural daytime makeup. I am fair skinned, and this color almost fuses with the skin, creating a porcelain effect. In Lip Color, I liked the texture (it’s easy to apply) and really liked the smell (sweetish, vanilla for my taste), but didn’t really like the feeling on the lips – the lipstick is very dry. I had to postpone it until better times, perhaps in the summer it would be much more appropriate.

I can tell right away that I have a very difficult relationship with lipstick. I don’t use it, I prefer a transparent gloss or lip balm. But then she decided to experiment – bribed the promises of the manufacturer, who claimed that this classic lipstick with a rich creamy texture gives lips a delightful color with a delicate shine. The lipstick is formulated with the innovative Maxi Lip Complex with moisturizing and plumping proteins to give lips an attractive shape and maintain elasticity. But that’s according to the manufacturers.
This is how it turned out in practice. Clarins’ Joli Rouge lipstick is medium hold and unfortunately does not last as long on the lips as I would like. But it is very soft on the lips, moisturizes and softens. It is suitable for winter, so you don’t have to worry about chapped lips. It is also quickly absorbed, there is no sticky feeling. This is a huge plus, since I have long hair and sometimes, when using a different brand of product, it just sticks to my lips. And one more bonus is a very pleasant berry aroma. Not intrusive, but palpable.
The only negative for me was the feeling of something foreign on my lips. Well, the color. I did not notice any delicate shine, promised by the manufacturer, or an increase in volume.

For testing, I got Dolce & Gabbana lipstick in a rich shade of wine and Intense chocolate. The first thing that caught our attention was, of course, a nice case. Very nice design, however, unfortunately, completely impractical. Due to the glossy finish, prints on the lid appear without much difficulty.
However, I really liked the technical characteristics of the lipstick! Pleasant application, deep color … However, in order to achieve a perfectly even coverage, it is necessary to apply two coats of lipstick.
Pleasantly pleased with the addition to the lipstick – a wine-colored lip balm, which is enclosed inside the stick itself. Thanks to him, the lips do not dry out, and the color takes on a juicy, shiny shade.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the persistence of the lipstick. Together with snacks, conversations and other joys, the rich color did not leave me for about 2-3 hours. However, I can add a fly in the ointment to this joyful story. With all the excellent characteristics of lipstick, its main disadvantage is how it leaves the lips. The color comes off with uneven stripes, bald spots, so if you want to delight yourself with bright makeup all day, you should maintain the color and tint your lips in advance, without waiting for the lipstick itself to “run away” from you.
