Lilou is afraid of the dark

It is eight o’clock. It’s time to sleep over for Emile and Lilou. Once in bed, Emile wants to turn off the light. But Lilou is afraid of the dark.

Fortunately, Emile is there to reassure her. A few minutes later, Lilou thinks she sees a ghost enter. In fact it is only the wind which blows in the curtains. Then a snake begins to climb on Lilou’s bed. Emile turns on the light again. It was his scarf lying on the floor.

This time it’s a giant who arrives. “No, it’s the coat rack” Emile told him. Phew! That’s it, Lilou fell asleep.

Emile shouts. A tiger has just jumped on its bed. It’s Lilou’s turn to turn on the light. Now, he’d rather we left the light on.

The designs are simple, colorful and expressive.

Editor’s opinion: This album evokes a subject well known to young children: the fear of the dark. The illustrations are realistic and close to children’s fears. A book to play down and gently reassure thanks to this nice duo.
