Laser removal of blood vessels: reviews

Woman’s Day volunteer recounts how she battled the vascular mesh on her face and defeated her with laser cosmetology.

I learned that I have very thin and sensitive skin rather late. Before I began to actively use creams with acids, products with alcohol in the composition and other products that are contraindicated for my skin type. Thus, by the age of 30 I acquired spider veins and rosacea on my face.

At first I tried to fight this unaesthetic phenomenon with the help of creams and diet. Of course, it didn’t help. The only correct and effective solution was the laser.

Niodimium laser acts only on a pathological vessel (dilated) and, as it were, “blinds” its walls to each other. Blood ceases to circulate in the vessel, and it disappears. The regeneration process takes from several hours to a couple of weeks, depending on the condition of the skin.

I wanted to get rid of two rather large red spots that formed due to the ruptured blood vessels. The places are extremely prominent – on the bridge of the nose, almost at the very eye and on the cheek. The most unpleasant thing is that even when my skin was in perfect condition, these two spots ruined the whole beautiful picture.

I’ll make a reservation right away that I went to the procedure for laser removal of blood vessels two whole times. Both procedures were performed not in a beauty parlor, but in a serious Sarmedical clinic.

They laid me down on a couch, applied a gel guide to the problem areas and put special mini-glasses with weights on my eyelids so that I would not be blinded by the laser beam. The first sensations were very unpleasant and frightening. A powerful stream of cold air was blowing into my face, and rather painful injections were felt on the skin, as if from a sharp needle. My advice: during each mini-session it is worth holding your breath, then the procedure will be more comfortable.

In total – for two of my spots – about nine flashes were made. The price tag turned out to be decent – about 7200 rubles.

The result was noticeable immediately. The spot on the bridge of the nose disappeared altogether, and on the cheek it became even redder. Doctor Elmira Kafarova applied a healing medicine to the skin and released it in peace. In addition, she said that the vessel on the cheek was deeper, and it will most likely need to be processed a second time.

A few hours later, the disappeared asterisk on the bridge of the nose reappeared, and it acquired a bluish-black color. But the spot on the opposite cheek turned pale. I, of course, was terribly frightened, but decided to wait a little. After a week, both spots were almost invisible. After waiting for the prescribed four weeks, I again went to the Sarmedical clinic. I wanted the cosmetologist to tell me, the alarmist, that the spots are really gone. True, a very light mark on the bridge of the nose still remained, but it was quickly removed. In addition, I got a tiny red dot near my nose – a petichium. Previously, she did not bother me, but against the background of getting rid of bright manifestations of rosacea it became too noticeable. The wings of my nose were also treated.

After three weeks, the dot that turned blue immediately disappeared completely. But the wings of the nose “took” badly: at first the vessels disappeared, but after three weeks they reappeared. I think it is difficult to do with one procedure here.

I am 100 percent satisfied with the result. After laser removal of blood vessels, the face began to look smooth, fresh and healthy. Despite the slight pinkness, the skin looks great! If after some time the procedure needs to be repeated, I will gladly do it.

After the procedure, you cannot drink alcohol, sunbathe, including in a solarium, steam in a bath or sauna, use alcohol-containing tonics – all this can nullify the effect of the laser. Within a couple of days, the laser-treated areas must be lubricated with panthenol. Moreover, this should be done two or three times a day.
