Introverted child: what to do, communication, recommendations, reasons
If a child has communication problems, it can affect their future. An introverted child experiences difficulties in kindergarten, at school, on walks. Help your little one!
Causes of Communication Problems
Before you start dealing with a problem, you need to understand why it has arisen.
Here is a list of the main reasons:
- phlegmatic character from birth;
- diseases that affect the mental state of the child;
- the child does not have sisters and brothers, therefore, he has a lack of communication;
- parents are too strict;
- the child does not have enough attention, he wants to spend more time with his parents;
- it seems to the baby that he is unnecessary;
- the child has received psychological trauma, for example, the death of a close relative or the divorce of the parents;
- parents or other relatives often reveal dissatisfaction with the baby’s actions.

Recommendations on what to do
Here are some basic tips to help you tackle this daunting problem:
- Do not ignore the withdrawal of the child.
- Give your child the opportunity to interact with peers. Take him to children’s centers, to various circles. At first he will play alone. Don’t get involved. Give him time.
- Show by example that communication is easy and enjoyable. Be kind to others.
- Go to new places with your child constantly and meet new people there.
- Give your child a sense of security. When talking to a stranger, hold his hand.
- Involve your baby in those activities where it is impossible to do without communication, exchange of information.
- Play games with dialogue. Hone your communication skills with toys. Read books where the characters communicate a lot. You can also come up with your own fairy tales with your child in the lead role. In these fairy tales, the kid should act as an open, brave and sociable character.
- Help your baby to show emotions, support his initiative in this. Infect him with emotion.
Be prepared for a difficult and painstaking job. Be patient and then the result will certainly appear.
Closure is unlikely to pass by itself. With age, it can only get worse. Help your child become more open, self-confident, sociable.
