We’ve put together a complete storage guide: what to keep in the refrigerator and on which shelf, and what is best kept at room temperature.

In a refrigerator

Top shelf

The place for chilled meat и birds in store packaging. If you buy them by weight, put them directly in a plastic bag in a bowl or plastic container so that no blood or juice leaks onto the drops.

Shelf life: 2 days.

Store on the same shelf chilled fish… The requirements here are the same as for poultry and meat: either in a store package or in a container.

Important! Do not store perishable food in the refrigerator door. This is the warmest place, in addition, the temperature is constantly changing (when you open the refrigerator).

At room temperature

Watermelon (whole) stored at room temperature for up to two months. But the cut berry must be wrapped in cling film and put in the refrigerator. The shelf life will be reduced to two days.

Tomatoes keep well in a cool room. Pack them in a ventilated container.

Garlic and onions should be packed in a net and hung in a dry pantry. The shelf life is about two months.

Chocolateat room temperature in a sealed package will lie without loss of quality for about six months.

Coffeein the package it is stored for up to a year, in the unopened pack – for two weeks. It is important that the place is dark and dry.

Tea does not deteriorate up to three years, the main thing is that the packaging is airtight.
