Ukrainian children who came to Poland because of the armed conflict and will stay with us for more than three months must be given preventive vaccinations, just like Polish children. In addition, you can get a vaccination against COVID-19, which is available from the age of 5. How to register a child from Ukraine for vaccination?

Registration for vaccination of a child from Ukraine
Parents or guardians who wish to vaccinate a child from Ukraine against infectious diseases, regardless of whether it is the first dose of this vaccine or a continuation of vaccination, should visit a medical institution. There, the child must be registered with a pediatrician, indicating that this is a preventive vaccination.
Ukrainians who crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border after February 24 can receive free medical care in Poland at any public health care institution (because it has a signed agreement with the National Health Fund – NFZ). It is best to visit a pediatrician in a primary care clinic.
During the visit, the pediatrician talks with the child’s guardian, then examines the child and qualifies him for vaccination. The vaccine will be administered by a doctor or nurse. The fact of vaccination against a specific disease, together with the date and indication of the drug used, is entered in the child’s medical book. During the visit, the pediatrician also discusses the next doses of the vaccine and the administration of other vaccinations.
