How to quickly peel a pomegranate

If you don’t know how to approach a pomegranate with many membranes, naughty grains and thick skin, or you don’t risk buying this healthy fruit for fear of splattering your entire kitchen with red juice, these cleaning methods are for you!

  1. You will need a plate with high sides so that juice does not splash on clothes and furniture, a knife and the pomegranate itself.
  2. Cut off the top where the ponytail was, then carefully cut along the veins.
  3. Turn the pomegranate over and gently tap it with a spoon; the seeds will fall into the plate.

There is another way for cleanliness lovers:

  1. Take a colander and a large bowl of water.
  2. Cut off the top and cut the pomegranate into slices with a knife.
  3. Put the slices in water and separate the grains from the rind right there.
  4. According to the laws of physics, the grains will settle to the bottom, and the skin and membranes will float to the surface.
  5. Take away the trash, put the grains in a colander and enjoy the taste of the pomegranate!
