How to do makeup from 3 tools: makeup artist’s life hacks

For a concise look, you don’t need strategic makeup supplies.

Fast, easy and beautiful makeup is every girl’s dream. No one wants to carry a huge cosmetic bag full of various tubes, pencils, brushes, lipsticks.

Therefore, Wday, together with a popular make-up artist, blogger, founder of an online school and owner of a makeup studio in Moscow, Irina Golubeva, have prepared for you an idea of a quick and trendy make-up from just three products.

Good skin is the foundation of any quality makeup. Therefore, we will focus on light makeup in trendy peach-pink tones.

For makeup you will need:

  • light foundation (a water-based product is perfect);

  • cream blush;

  • highlighter.

The first step is to apply the tone

Since we have only three products and no brushes, we will apply all the products with our fingers. Important: be sure to do makeup with clean hands).

  1. Apply some foundation to your hand, then use your finger to spread it over the skin. Pay attention to the under-eye and T-zone.

  2. Then, using the fingers of both hands, pat the foundation into the skin with a patting motion. The main thing is to distribute the tone imperceptibly, as if you applied it with a wet beauty blender.

Second step – applying cream blush

We will use them on three areas: cheeks, upper eyelid and lips. Creamy blush can be a great substitute for lipstick or eyeshadow. Remember that we apply all products with our finger only.

My favorite shades of blush are peach or pink. They are perfect for all skin types to keep your makeup looking fresh and refreshed.

Place some product on your finger, but do not apply directly to your face. Leave some of the product on your hands and pat on your cheeks with the part that remains on your finger. With this application technique, the makeup will turn out to be light, without dirty spots.

Tip: if you don’t know where to apply the blush correctly, smile and apply it to the protruding “apples”.After the cheeks are ready, proceed to the eyes.

Using your finger, apply a small amount of blush to the curve of the eyelid and blend it. We advise you to apply the product with one finger and shade with clean. This will create a subtle peach / pink haze for a more expressive look.

The third step is applying the highlighter

I mostly use a liquid highlighter. It is easier to apply and compact, which is important.

Using the eyedropper, apply a few drops of the highlighter to the overhanging part of the cheekbone (between the outer corner of the eye and the cheek) and under the brow. Distribute the product so that it merges with the tone and blush. Then apply the highlighter to the inner corner of your eyes, to the tip of your nose and above your lip.

Fourth step – lips

After you have done the tone, applied blush and highlighter, let’s move on to the lips. The main rule of lip makeup is hydration. Try to apply lip balm every day, scrub once a week, and do not use matte liquid lipsticks that dry out your lips.

Take some blush on your finger and beat it in the center of the lips, and then gently on the corners of the lips.

Your makeup is ready!
