How to cut mozzarella into even slices
 

If you have trouble slicing mozzarella, don’t despair, you are in the majority. Indeed, cutting this cheese into equal slices (especially if you need longitudinal cutting for caprese) is very difficult. Round mozzarella just strives to slip out of your hands. And often from one ball you can get several slices of different thickness. 

But there is a wonderful life hack!

No, we would not advise you to cover the caprese with a lot of basil to mask the different thicknesses of mozzarella.

This life hack will really make them look the same. 

 

Use the egg knife for slicing! Simply place the mozzarella under the knife, press down on it to secure it well, lower the knife, and voila! – the cheese slices are now thin. And – most importantly – the same!
