How to create a shortcut to the last opened document in Word 2013

Do you constantly have to open the same document again and again while working on it? Instead of opening the Word start menu first and then the file, you can automatically open the last document you were working on.

To do this, create a separate shortcut with a special path that will launch the last document opened in Word. If you already have a Word shortcut on your desktop, create a copy of it.

If you don’t have a desktop shortcut and you’re using Word 2013 on Windows 8, go to the following path:

C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft OfficeOffice15WINWORD.EXE

Note: If you have a 32-bit version of Word on a 64-bit operating system, when writing the path, specify the folder Program Files (x86). Otherwise, indicate Program Files.

Right click on the file Winword.exe and then Send to > desktop (Send > Desktop).
