How to cook silver carp in the oven

Silver carp – this fish of the family Karpovthat lives in flocks and feeds on algae and phytoplankton. Silver carp is quite large in size, the largest silver carp that has ever been caught weighed 40 kg.

 

The most delicious are individuals whose weight is about 4 kg. This fish has few bones and a lot of meat. Silver carp meat is not fat in its consistency, its nutritional value is only 86 kcal, so silver carp is included in many diets.

Silver carp meat contains a large amount of nutrients, it contains vitamins A, B, E, PP. Natural amino acids, sulfur, calcium, phosphorus and other useful elements are easily absorbed, and a large amount of protein saturates the body.

 

You can cook a variety of dishes from silver carp; soup, cutlets are cooked from it, fried or baked in the oven. It is during baking that the largest amount of nutrients is stored in it. The benefit of baking is that the bones of the silver carp become so soft that they can be eaten.

Oven baked silver carp with tomato sauce

Ingredients:

  • Silver carp – 1 pc.
  • Tomato paste – 2 Art. l
  • Vegetable oil – 4 Art. l
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Potatoes – 600 gr.
  • Dried basil – 1 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper to taste

If you bought fish that is not gutted, then you need to prepare it by removing the entrails, gills and bile. Whether or not to leave the head, everyone decides for himself. Cut the carcass into 2 parts along the ridge.

Mix tomato paste, 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil and 2 heads of chopped garlic.

 

Line a baking sheet with foil, add a layer of coarse salt, put fillet pieces, greasing them liberally with tomato-garlic sauce.

Wash the potatoes, cut into wedges. Stir in the remaining oil and basil. Place on a baking sheet around the fish, top with the remaining chopped garlic.

Put the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 220 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.

 

Silver carp baked in lemon sauce

Ingredients:

  • Silver carp – 1 pc.
  • Potatoes – 1 kg.
  • Lemon – 2 pcs.
  • Tomato – 1 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Luk – 1 No.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Peel the fish from the entrails.

 

Finely chop the onion. Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice and onion. Rub the fish with this sauce and leave to marinate for 15 minutes.

Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into circles or wedges.

Cover the baking sheet with foil. Put the fish on it and lay the chopped potatoes around.

 

Put in an oven preheated to 220 degrees and bake for about 30-40 minutes. During baking, the fish will give off juice, which needs to be watered on the potatoes to make them more delicious.

Silver carp baked on an onion pillow

Ingredients:

  • Luk – 2 No.
  • Sour cream – 100 gr.
  • Hard cheese – 100 gr.
  • Lemon – 1 pcs.
  • Flour – 4 Art. l
  • Vegetable oil – 3 Art. l
  • Dill – 1/2 bunch
  • Salt – to taste
  • Spices – to taste

Peel the silver carp from the insides and cut into portions.

Mix lemon juice with salt and spices and pour over silver carp pieces with this sauce. The longer the fish is marinated in this, the better.

Cut the onion into thin half rings and fry a little.

Line the bottom of the baking dish with a layer of onions.

Roll the pieces of fish in flour and fry over high heat until golden brown.

Place the fish in a baking dish. Sprinkle finely chopped dill on top and top with sour cream.

Put the fish in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.

10 minutes before the end, grate the cheese on a fine grater and sprinkle it on the fish. After it has melted, the fish can be served.

Ingredients:

  • Tomato – 2 pcs.
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Sour cream – 100 gr.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Spices – to taste
  • Butter – 50 gr.

Gut the fish and wash well. Rub it with salt and pepper.

Cut the tomatoes into circles. Chop the onion and garlic.

Line a baking sheet with foil. Put fish on it, inside which put onions and garlic and pieces of butter.

Put tomatoes and leftover onions with garlic around the fish.

Wrap the edges of the foil in the manner of a bag. Pour sour cream over fish and vegetables and place in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.

Silver carp baked with beets

Ingredients:

  • Silver carp – 1 pc.
  • Beets – 1 pcs.
  • Carrots – 1 pieces.
  • Luk – 1 No.
  • Vinegar – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil – 2 Art. l

Clean the fish from entrails and scales. Cut off the head and tail and cut lengthwise into 2 pieces, removing the ridge to form a fillet.

Chop the garlic, mix it with salt and pepper and rub the fish with this mixture. Cut the fillet into 1,5-2 cm pieces.

Cut the onion into half rings. Grate carrots and beets.

Line a baking sheet with foil. Lubricate with sunflower oil. Lay out the pieces of silver carp so that they do not touch each other. Put the vegetable mixture between them.

Put fish and vegetables in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes. A few minutes before cooking, take out the fish, sprinkle with vinegar and put it back in the oven.
