How to cook healthy food

Sometimes, changing the way and style of food preparation is enough to make your diet less nutritious and healthy. Get used to new processes and ingredients – and your body will respond to you with gratitude.

Replace minced meat with lean meat

For many, turkey fillets are reminiscent of pork in taste and structure, and red beef is not suitable for constant consumption. Add white lean meat to your usual dishes, first experiment with the proportions, gradually increasing the amount of white meat and decreasing the percentage of red meat. Often the difference will be insignificant, but for health it is quite a tangible plus.

Accustom yourself to vegetables with a minimum of starch

Gradually dilute such your favorite mashed potatoes with such boiled vegetables as sweet potatoes, celery or cauliflower – from this the dish will sparkle with new tastes and new necessary vitamins will enter your body. Eat little peas, carrots, broccoli with your usual dishes – pasta, scrambled eggs. Start with a tablespoon and work up from plate to plate.

Use broth more often

The broth contains many vitamins from the foods that were cooked in it. Do not pour out this healthy liquid, but try to replace fat with it. Instead of frying in oil, stew food in broth – this way you can cook cutlets, pieces of meat and even vegetables.

Remove excess fat

Do not be too lazy to soak meat, pancakes and pancakes, individual ingredients for multi-component dishes after frying with a paper towel – this way you will reduce the consumption of fat several times. Some foods can even be rinsed with hot water as long as they do not lose their appearance and taste.

Use fresh ingredients

Cut down on foods that are conveniently packaged, frozen, or subject to some kind of pre-processing such as boiling. Such products already contain fewer nutrients, and when they are cooked in your kitchen, they will also lose the rest. If possible, use only fresh and seasonal produce.
