Home schooling for health reasons: the pros and cons of how to arrange, conditions

Homeschooling is an alternative to traditional schooling. It assumes that the child receives knowledge at home, teachers come to study with him or parents take on this function. Every six months, the student must take intermediate exams, the purpose of which is to test the knowledge gained. How effective is such a system and how to arrange homeschooling?

How to apply for home schooling for health reasons?

Parents most often choose home schooling for the child’s health, which does not allow him to attend a general education institution, communicate with peers, and assimilate material.

But sometimes homeschooling is preferred for other convictions: after analyzing the lives of children, their inclinations, hobbies and their own capabilities.

Homeschooling: Pros and Cons

The pluses of homeschooling include:

  • flexible schedule. The child is engaged at a convenient time. The length of the lessons is regulated depending on the degree of fatigue, the speed of mastering the copy;

  • individual approach;

  • at home, children are in a familiar environment, do not experience stress;

  • constant communication with family members strengthens relationships, promotes cohesion, the emergence of common interests;

  • no rush, flexible schedule. The child does not have to rush to complete assignments, he studies subjects at a speed that is comfortable for him.

In addition, in addition to the compulsory basic disciplines, the child can study any others, it is enough to make changes to the schedule.

Homeschooling conditions also have disadvantages:

  • it is time consuming for the parents. All the worries about organizing the process fall on them;

  • lack of finance. One parent will have to sacrifice work;

  • limited social circle. The problem will be solved by circles and walks in the yard;

  • high responsibility of parents for the education of the child;

  • the need to pass tests and exams according to standards;

  • if the homeschooling experiment fails, returning to school will take a long time to adapt.

If you decide on this form of training, you will need to go through several stages.
