Often, in pursuit of youth and beauty, women buy the most expensive cosmetics, not thinking about whether harmful substances are present in cosmetics. Fortunately, there is a safe alternative to store-bought cosmetics – homemade beauty products.

Scrub is an indispensable cosmetic product for facial skin care

To make a scrub, take the following components:

  • 2 tbsp rice
  • 1 tbsp. kaolin
  • 1 drop of juniper essential oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • some water
  • 1 drop of geranium aromatic oil
  • 1 tbsp orange toilet water

Rice is crushed in a mortar and ground with kaolin. The honey is slightly warmed up in a water bath, and then mixed with kaolin mass and orange eau de toilette. The cosmetic paste is enriched with aromatic oils. They take a little scrub and mix it with a little water, after which it is rubbed into the skin of the face with massaging movements. After 35 minutes wash off the scrub. As a result of this procedure, dead cells are removed, toxins and harmful substances are removed, and blood circulation is improved. Already after the first peeling, the face acquires a healthy color and the condition of the skin is noticeably improved.

The scrub is stored in a refrigerator in a glass, tightly closed container for two months

Home cosmetics for oily skin

Properly selected cosmetics will help cleanse and tone oily skin, shrink pores and normalize sebum production. Yarrow cream has a wonderful effect on the skin.

Its recipe is as follows:

  • 1315 g dried yarrow shoots
  • 2730 ml orange eau de toilette
  • 8090 g cream base
  • 95100 ml of water

The grass is poured with water, brought to a boil, the heat is reduced to low and boiled for 23 minutes. Next, the broth is cooled, filtered and mixed with orange water and a creamy base. The finished cream is transferred to a glass container, which is tightly covered with a lid and stored in a cool place for no more than a month.

The yarrow present in the cream is considered a strong antiseptic, and orange eau de toilette dries the skin, while reducing the secretion of subcutaneous fat

To improve blood circulation and cleanse pores, mint lotion is used, which is prepared from:

  • 45-50 ml of Virginia hazel tincture
  • 20-25 g dry crushed mint leaves
  • 250 ml of water

Pour mint with water, bring to a boil and cook for 13-15 minutes. After that, the broth is cooled, the liquid is decanted and mixed with a tincture of Virginia hazel. The lotion is poured into a glass container, sealed and stored in a cool place.

This type of skin needs additional hydration and nutrition.

A cream for dry skin of the face has proven itself perfectly, which contains:

  • 1,5–2 tsp. lanolin
  • 30 ml jojoba oil
  • 3 drops of aromatic oil
  • 1 tsp crushed beeswax
  • ½ tsp cocoa butter
  • 35-40 ml orange eau de toilette

In a water bath, the wax is melted, lanolin and cocoa butter are added here. The mixture is then enriched with jojoba oil and brought to 60 ° C. Eau de toilette is heated in a separate container to 60 ° C and mixed with the oil mixture, whipping the cosmetic mass with a mixer (at low speed). Essential oil is added to a slightly warm mixture and beat until completely cooled. The cream is stored in a closed container in a cool place for 2-3 weeks.

Rosemary essential oil is contraindicated in epilepsy, hypertension and pregnancy

To refresh the skin and nourish it with valuable elements, a lotion is prepared from:

  • ½ lemon juice
  • 2530 ml almond oil
  • 50 ml freshly squeezed carrot juice
  • halves of fresh cucumber

The cucumber is peeled, after which the pulp is rubbed on a fine grater and the juice is squeezed out of the gruel. Mix the cucumber juice with the rest of the ingredients, pour the lotion into a dark glass container and seal well. Before applying the cosmetic product to the skin of the face, gently shake the container with the lotion. Store it in the refrigerator for no more than a week.

How to make hair cosmetics at home

When caring for normal hair, it is recommended to use a herbal shampoo, which contains the following ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp dried crushed mint leaves
  • 7-8 tbsp. dry inflorescences of pharmacy chamomile
  • 2 tbsp rosemary leaves
  • 2 tbsp vodka
  • 3 drops of essential peppermint or eucalyptus oil
  • 580-600 ml water
  • 50–55 g finely grated baby or Marseille soap

The herbal collection is poured with freshly boiled water, put on low heat and boiled for 8-10 minutes, after which it is infused for 25-30 minutes. Next, the infusion is filtered. Flakes of soap are placed in a separate dish and the container is placed on a slow fire (the soap is melted), and then cooled to a comfortable temperature. Aromatic oils are mixed with vodka, after which an oil base and herbal infusion are added.

Pour the shampoo into a glass container, seal tightly and leave in a warm place for 3-4 days

Dull hair will come to life if you use a herbal lotion when caring for it, made from:

  • 17-20 drops of calendula tincture
  • 20 drops of rosemary tincture
  • 10 drops of nettle tincture
  • 270-300 ml of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 30 drops of propolis tincture

Apple cider vinegar, nettle tincture and calendula tincture are poured into a dark glass bottle, after which the container is tightly closed and shaken well. Then the mixture is enriched with rosemary tincture, propolis tincture and avocado oil and shaken again. After washing your hair with a cotton swab, a vegetable lotion is applied to the scalp and the hair is allowed to dry naturally.
