Nutritionists, therapists, fitness trainers – everyone is tired of repeating how important it is to drink clean water every day. But not from the tap, right? Or maybe it’s worth taking a closer look at the mineral water? We decided to put together a water guide so that you know exactly what you are walking on.
When buying water, the first thing to look at is the label. It should indicate:
– sparkling water or still;
– drinking or mineral water (and clarification: table, medical-table or medicinal);
– the group of water, depending on the main salts contained in it (for example, hydrocarbonate-sulphate sodium);
– the quantitative content of ions in the water and the number of the well (although this information is really useful only for specialists).
Drinking still
The salt content in such water is minimal: 200-500 mg / l. Therefore, you can drink it without restrictions for both adults and children. It is good to cook soups, compotes, coffee in water.
However, it is impossible to taste such water. It can be taken from a natural source or from a tap and disinfected. Tap water is certainly not useful, but it is not harmful if it has been well cleaned.

Natural carbonated
The salt content in such water is slightly higher, but the water is enriched with carbon dioxide. By the way, gases help to disinfect water, prolonging its shelf life. The water contains natural trace elements: calcium, magnesium, chlorides, sodium bicarbonate. Their number does not exceed 1 g per liter. Such water, as a rule, is extracted from wells and does not contain harmful impurities. This water is good to drink to restore strength. For example, you can take it with you to the gym or drink it in extreme heat.
The bubbles in the mineral table water are not carbonated, but natural! To prevent them from irritating the walls of the stomach, you can release them by leaving the bottle open for a while. However, such water should not be used for cooking: when heated, the salts precipitate, the usefulness is lost, sometimes the water acquires an unpleasant aftertaste.

Contains up to 10 g of salts per liter. Water with a slight salty taste is intended for the prevention of diseases and general strengthening of the body.
