If women are 9 times more affected by hallux valgus, it is probably largely because of the wearing of heels and / or pointy shoes. It is therefore advisable to limit from an early age the excessive wearing of these shoes deforming the foot (hallux valgus or other deformities). Adolescent girls from families at risk should be informed. High heels once a week, why not, but not every day and all day …
