Hair tinting: rules of procedure. Video

Hair care includes many procedures, including hair toning. This procedure allows you to try a particular shade before a radical color change. If you prefer to follow fashion trends and want to give your appearance originality and originality, heed the advice of professionals and feel free to choose toning.

Differences between toning and traditional hair coloring

The main difference between toning is that during this procedure, not persistent coloring preparations are used, but light means to give the hair a certain shade. Toning is great for those women who like to diversify their image, but do not want to change their hair color for a long time.

Toning makes it possible to restore the natural color of graying hair

Using the toning procedure, you can change the shade to a more attractive one, or make the natural hair color as saturated as possible. The peculiarity of the technique of such coloring is that the dyes do not change the deep structure of the hair, but only slightly envelop it, holding on to the scales. With each successive shampooing, the tinting agents are gradually washed out, but at the same time there is no noticeable border between dyed and unpainted hair.

Toning can be gentle and intense. The gentle one allows you to keep the paint for up to three to four weeks, after which you can safely carry out the next similar procedure. Intensive toning lasts much longer – sometimes up to two months.

Hair tinting: tips and tricks

When choosing a color for toning, make sure that it contains additives and vitamins that make it easier to comb and care for your hair. The lightest types of toning are performed using products that look like: – foams, – mousses, – shampoos.

Sometimes tinting agents are in the form of sprays. Such paints are not very stable and are usually washed off after one or two washing.

The toner is applied only to clean and slightly damp hair, not to dry hair. It is advisable to cover your clothes and wear protective gloves so that there are no stains from the dye. It will be good if you protect the areas of the skin adjacent to the hair with a greasy cream – this will make it easier to wash off the dye residues from the skin.

The paint that gets on the skin is removed with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol

The toning composition is squeezed into the palm of your hand and applied to the hair evenly along its entire length. Then the hair is combed with a comb having wide non-metallic teeth. This is necessary so that the paint is evenly distributed throughout the hair. Now it remains to withstand the time indicated on the instructions for the preparation, and then rinse the hair with water.

Want something new? Try experimenting and using several toning shades at once. Professionals recommend using no more than three different colors. It is desirable that the shades of the hair are close to the natural hair color. You can tint separately both wide strands and thinner curls – this will create more sophisticated overflows of color.

If you want to find the most suitable color for your image, try taking your photo after each toning procedure. After a series of creative experiments with hair coloring, you will be able to appreciate the advantages and disadvantages of certain shades and choose the one that makes your look more interesting and intriguing.
