Owners of the latest generation of microwaves do not need to spend a lot of time cooking golden roasted chicken. You don’t have to do almost anything. The hostess only needs to prepare a mixture for rubbing the chicken. It will give it an unforgettable aroma and improve its taste.

The seasoning consists of the following ingredients:

  • a pinch of pepper mix
  • a teaspoon of salt
  • three teaspoons of ketchup or tomato paste (it is the tomatoes that give the chicken its amazing golden color)

Spread the resulting sauce on the chicken, paying special attention to the breast. There the meat is denser and less impregnated.

You can leave the chicken for 2-3 hours to marinate. But if you can’t wait, put it in the microwave right away, just slightly increase the cooking time.

Place the chicken on a wire rack and place a large plastic or glass container underneath. It is needed so that fat does not drip to the bottom of the microwave. Place the appliance on the grill setting with the maximum power setting. Cook the chicken for 10 minutes, then turn it over and let sit for another 10 minutes. To make the chicken more juicy, switch to normal, place a plate of water under the wire rack and cook the chicken for another 15 minutes.

Many older microwave ovens do not have a grill function. But the hostesses should not despair, delicious chicken can be cooked there too. The crust will not be as crispy, but the meat will still be delicious.

Before cooking, the chicken must be marinated in the sauce, the recipe for which is given above.

You can also add crushed garlic and fresh herbs there. The bird is placed in the microwave in a large container and covered with a lid. This creates the ideal conditions for cooking chicken. Turn on the microwave for 15 minutes at maximum power. After the end of the time, open the door and add half a glass of water to the chicken container. The extra steam will keep the meat tender and juicy. Then let the chicken cook for another 15 minutes. Then transfer the chicken to a plate and microwave for another 5 minutes. During this time, a delicious crust is formed, and the bird will acquire an unforgettable aroma.
