When building nails with gel, a special material is used that hardens under the influence of ultraviolet rays. The gel evens out the nails, gives them a glossy shine and does not irritate the skin. The structure of false nails made with gel is similar to a natural nail.

After building, the forms are freely removed from the nails. The main advantage of this extension method is the naturalness of the manicure and the ease of removing gel nails.
Tips are artificial nails of various sizes and colors. They are glued to nail plates and covered with gel. The tips then become part of the formed nail. This method is good because it suits almost everyone and can be used even with short nails.
Own nails, despite external gel protection, can weaken. Therefore, after building up, it is necessary to take vitamins to strengthen them.
First, the nails are prepared for extension. For this, hands are disinfected, cuticles are removed, and the surface of the nails is polished. Then the nails are covered with a special primer to remove excess liquid.
Then, using a brush, the gel is applied to the nail. At this stage, it is important to avoid contact of the gel with the skin. After application, the gel is dried by rays of an ultraviolet lamp, which takes a couple of minutes. After the applied gel has dried, the nail is coated with the next layer and dried again.
This procedure is usually repeated twice to give the nail sufficient strength.
If a burning sensation occurs during drying, the master may be using a poor quality gel or applied too thick a layer. In this case, drying should be stopped until the unpleasant symptoms disappear.
When the last layer of gel hardens, the master will use a nail file to give the nail the desired shape and length. Polishing gel nails is not necessary, since the special properties of the gel make them shiny anyway.
The last step is nail design. They are covered with colored varnish, painted or decorated with decorative elements.
The service life of gel nails can be up to 4 months
In the first month after the build-up, the correction will need to be carried out twice, in the future – once a month.
Regardless of where the nail extension is done, in the salon or at home, it is important to follow a few guidelines when doing this. It is better not to use hand cream on the day of nail extension. This can lead to the formation of a cavity between the nail and the gel. Also, the building procedure should not be carried out on critical days and during the period of taking hormonal drugs and antibiotics. Keep your nails healthy.
