Andrey Bobrovsky, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Nutritionist, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of St. Petersburg State University, mentioned in an interview with radio Sputnik the very actions that separate you from the ideal figure.

Most people who want to lose weight don’t really know how many calories they are consuming per day. But counting KBZHU is the basis of proper weight loss. Often you buy foods in the store that say “low calorie” on the labels, but is that really so? 

People give preference to supposedly wholesome foods. For example, they buy in the store something that is supposedly good for the figure: fat-free fitness bars, sugar-free fitness bars, and so on. The manufacturer is acting cunningly: it declares on the packaging a slogan like “good for the figure”, due to the fact that it has reduced the sugar content by ten percent. But at the same time he increased the fat content or vice versa, ”explained the expert.

A sharp transition from improper nutrition to correct

If you drastically change your attitude to your diet, starting to lose weight on Monday will not bring any results. According to the nutritionist, such an approach can only cause stress in the body, as a result of which the weight will not decrease, and in the end the person will simply give up on the idea of ​​becoming slimmer. In addition, the habit of eating incorrectly developed for years, so it is very difficult to change everything overnight.

You can’t lose weight by increasing activity

Another mistake that millions make is to increase activity, but at the same time nutrition remains unchanged. According to Bobrovsky, it is important to consider everything: the calorie content of foods, the amount of food consumed and, of course, physical activity. 

Overeating high-calorie foods negates all physical activity, ”the nutritionist is sure.

To deprive yourself of all the pleasures

When a person loses weight, then he himself takes away the main pleasure in his life – it is delicious to eat. If you don’t replace food with other things that you like, you will soon return to burgers and cakes again.

Test your willpower

If you are experiencing psycho-emotional problems or troubles at work, then you should not test your willpower and add restrictions to any food. In this case, you get the exact opposite effect, provoking the development of dependence on your favorite foods. The doctor advises that it is better to eat a small piece of cake after suffering stress than to suffer and develop an unhealthy cravings for food.
