Nolvadex is a prescription drug whose dosage is prescribed and adjusted by a doctor. It is used in some forms of infertility, in the presence of breast cancer. The drug is in the form of coated tablets that are taken orally.
When should I use Nolvadex?
The main substance of the drug is Tamoxifen, belonging to the anti-estrogen group. Nolvadex is designed to block all the effects of estrogen. It is mainly used in women with breast cancer. In these patients, Tamoxifen reacts with the estrogen receptor in the lesions. Thus, it is impossible for estrogen to bind to this receptor. When it is used in women after menopause, it will noticeably decrease in cholesterol levels.
The drug works very quickly in the body because it is most active after 4 to 7 hours.
Who shouldn’t use Nolvadex?
Nolvadex should not be used by people who are allergic to any of the ingredients contained in the drug. In addition, it should not be used by people who have had problems with a blood clot in the past or who are pregnant. Before using this medication, the physician should conduct a thorough interview with the patient about his health and the actual taking of medications.
Nolvadex and other drugs
Tell your doctor about any medications you are taking at that time. Some of them may conflict with Nolvadex, so it is good to inform your doctor about this fact. Any antibiotics or dietary supplements we take should be reported.
First of all, we should remember that substances and drugs such as warfarin, Rifampicin, letrozole, anastrozole, depressants, quinidine or cinacalcet enter into an unfavorable relationship with Nolvadex.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding

You should not become pregnant while taking this medicine and you must also take appropriate contraceptive pills. Side effects of Nolvadex use
As with all medicines, Nolvadex can also cause side effects in some patients. The most frequently reported side effects are: body weakness, nausea, vaginal bleeding, feeling hot, various allergic reactions, weakness of the hair and nails, constipation or diarrhea.
How to store Nolvadex?
First of all, it should be kept away from children. You should hold the drug at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius and keep out of direct sunlight. It should not be used after the expiry date and should not be drained down the drain.
What is included in Nolvadex?
One pack contains 30 film-coated tablets placed in a cardboard box. One tablet has 20 mg of Tamoxifen. Other substances in this medicine are: lactose, gelatin, maize starch, magnesium stearate and sodium carboxymethyl starch.
