Family allowances, Back-to-school allowance, RSA, AAH … amounts revalued on April 1, 2021

Since April 1, 2021, some aid paid to millions of parents by the Family Allowance Funds (CAF) has been revised upwards, with an additional 0,1%. The new amounts of your aid will appear on your accounts from May.

The activity bonus

This aid, which aims to supplement professional activity income below a certain threshold, is reassessed. The calculation of the new amount depends on the situation of each individual.

Concretely, a single person, childless, can now collect up to 553,71€ per month. A couple without children, he can aspire to an aid of up to 830,57 €.

To a person with a child, it will be 830,57€, € 996,68 with two children and € 221,48 more per additional child.

Active solidarity income (RSA)

The amount of the RSA, the minimum solidarity income for the most modest, now amounts to € 565,34 per month for a single person, and to € 848,01 for a couple without children.

Single people with a child can receive up to 848,01 € per month and couples with children to 1017,61 € per month.

Solidarity income (RSO) outside mainland France

RSO, service intended for people living in overseas departments also varies according to resources. Its monthly amount is set at 532,47 €.

The allowance for disabled adults (AAH)

In May, the amount of the AAH (help for disabled adults), allowance for people with disabilities aged 20 or over, whose handicap leads to difficulty in accessing employment, will also increase. It will amount to 903,60€.

Family allowances

TheFamily allowances change according to resources and family size. For a family of two children with 2019 annual resources of less than € 69, they will amount to 132,08 € per month.

Back-to-school allowance (ARS)

The ARS is intended for families with children. It will amount to € 370,31 for children aged 6 to 10, à 390,74 € for those aged 11 to 14 and € 404,28 for adolescents aged 15 to 18. It will be paid before the start of the September school year, around 20 August.

Education allowance for disabled children (AEEH)

As of May, the AEEH will be paid to parents in the education and care of a disabled child under 20. It will amount to 132,74€ for the basic allowance. To this amount is added a supplement which varies from 99,55 1126,41 to € € according to parents’ income and expenses related to the child’s disability.

The birth or adoption bonus

This service, paid each birth or adoption of a child, will now be collected at the start of the 7th month of pregnancy or on adoption, if the parents’ 2019 income does not exceed a certain ceiling.

Its amount will be € 948,27 for a birth and at 1 € 896,52 for an adoption.

The shared child education benefit (PreParE)

The amount of the PreParE now stands at € 398,79 in the event of total cessation of activity, à 257,80€ in the event of a working time less than or equal to half-time and 148,72€ in the event of working time between 50% and 80%.

The PreParE is paid to parents who cease or reduce their professional activity to take care of their children under the age of 3 (or under 20 in the event of adoption).

Daily parental presence allowance (AJPP)

The daily amount of the daily parental presence allowance will rise from May 2021 to € 43,87 for a couple and € 53,13 for a single person. A complement of 112,12€ per month can still be paid under certain conditions.

It is intended for parents caring for a seriously ill, injured or disabled child.

The new allowance paid by CAF

The allowance in case of death of a child is paid by CAF to families bereaved by the death of a child under 25 who lived in the household. She rises between 1001,01€ à 2001,98 € depending on resources.
