Endocrine disruptors: can we avoid them?

For Isabelle Doumenc, naturopath *, “endocrine disruptors are chemicals that parasitize the hormonal system.. Among them: phthalates, parabens, bisphenol A (or its substitutes, S or F). They are found in large quantities in the soil, on the skin, in the air and on our plate. Food is one of the main routes of contamination. Plastic food containers house these harmful molecules which, when heated, migrate to food. On a daily basis, their consumption can have serious repercussions on health, in particular that of children and pregnant women. Endocrine disruptors cause fertility problems, cancer or diabetes problems. It is therefore vital to protect yourself from it. We no longer buy ready-made dishes, and to heat dishes and bottles, opt for glass or ceramic. Good anti-pollutant reflexes

If you buy ready meals, apply a higher level of guarantee than that offered by the AB label. Because this allows 5% non-organic when it comes to processed foods. Choose Nature & Progrès or the Bio Cohérence label.

Pay attention to the labels and the origin of your products. If they include more than three unknown names, the product is placed back on the shelf.

Rebalance your budget 

Eat less meat and fish. From time to time, replace them with vegetable proteins (less expensive). This will help you build a fund for the purchase of organic fruits, vegetables and eggs.
