The choice has been made! The results of the annual design competition have been announced. ELLE DECORATION editors from 24 countries named the most worthy objects and the brightest names of the year. The winners were awarded during the days of the Furniture Salon in Milan. Brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroulleci – the mind, honor and conscience of French design. The duo are famous for their ability to turn the very idea of long-familiar household items upside down. Their bed becomes a cage, their kitchen becomes a constructor … Recent achievements include the Vegetal plant chair for Vitra and the Clouds felt puzzle wall covering for Kvadrat. The main prize – the title of “Designer of the Year” – was awarded by ELLE DECORATION editors unanimously. We hope they share it like a brother!

LAMP
Lamps from the collection Bell от Axo Light awaken in the soul bright (literally and figuratively) memories of childhood. The similarity with the good old grandmother’s lampshades is evident, only the fringe is missing! But behind the nostalgic appearance, the latest technology advances are hidden. DECORATIVE FABRICS
Seemingly interwoven stripes on fabric Eplis от Creation Baumann resemble the ribbons of the New Year’s serpentine. When designing this table for Poliform, Carlo Colombo made full use of the capabilities of the new material – crystal plant. Name Air (“Air”) suits an extraordinary piece of furniture perfectly: the table looks absolutely weightless. It seems that he does not stand on the floor, but floats in the air. The Bouroullechi brothers again hit our hit list for a reason: they invented a completely new, unprecedented decor item. Coating clouds (“Clouds”) from Kvadrat consists of individual elements (contrary to expectations, not square), which are connected to each other in different combinations. Volumetric “puzzle” can be used to decorate the walls, or you can simply collect abstract sculptures from it. Lots of fun for the whole family!
