Eating smaller meals can extend your life by 20 years

According to scientists, eating 40% less food can extend life by up to 20 years. Researchers at the British University Collage London are developing a new anti-aging method based on controlling the quality and quantity of food consumed.

Dr. Piper, head of the research group, says: If a rat’s diet is reduced by 40%, its life is increased by 20 to 30%. This effect has already been proven in many animals – even Labradors.

Researchers are also running tests on a model organism, the fruit fly. She also managed to extend her life by changing her diet. Scientists became interested in it because it has a relatively small genome. They believe that by studying the effect in the fly, it will be possible to identify the genes that are involved in the aging process.

Dr. Piper says: If we discover the genes responsible for aging, we may be able to eliminate the genes themselves.

The research results are very promising. Maybe next time you should think about it before the next snack.
