On a cold, rainy evening, sometimes you don’t want to go outside. At such moments, the comfort and warmth of the home is especially appreciated. And you can diversify your home evenings with a delicacy – hot chocolate.

How to make hot chocolate

Ingredients for 4 servings: – 500 ml of medium fat milk; – 1 teaspoon of corn flour; – 1 bar of bitter dark chocolate; – sugar to taste. Break the chocolate bar into small pieces or grate the chocolate chips. If time permits, place the crushed chocolate briefly in the freezer. Due to temperature changes, the product will reveal its delicate taste. Use chocolate with a high content of cocoa beans, so your drink will acquire an unforgettable tart aroma of natural chocolate.

Pour 500 ml of milk into a saucepan and heat it over medium-high heat. Make sure the milk does not boil. When small bubbles or foam begin to appear on the surface, reduce heat to low and pour chocolate into milk, stirring constantly. Aim for a smooth paste that is hot but not boiling.

When the chocolate milk starts to bubble occasionally, slowly pour the flour and sugar into it, stirring constantly. Make sure that no lumps form from the flour, because it should swell and make the drink thicker.

Once the flour has dissolved into the chocolate, turn off the heat and serve the hot drink immediately.

Hot chocolate with cornmeal is a very satisfying treat. If you add some nuts to it, this drink can replace your usual snack.

Summer joy: hot chocolate with berries

Ingredients for 4 servings: – 200 ml of cream (20% fat); – 1 bar of dark dark chocolate; – 300 g of any berries (you can use frozen); – 50 g of butter; – 2 tbsp. tablespoons of granulated sugar. If you are using frozen berries, first bring them to room temperature so that excess water does not melt into chocolate. At this time, break the chocolate bar into small slices and melt them in a water bath.

Pour the liquid melted chocolate into a cooking pot and place over low heat. Gradually add the cream to the chocolate, stirring constantly.

In a separate bowl, melt the butter and mix with the sugar. Lightly coat the berries with sweet butter and add them to the chocolate. Stir the ingredients for one minute so that the berries can transfer their sweet and sour taste to the chocolate, then serve the hot drink on the table.

Follow the table setting conditions, decorate hot chocolate with spices and herbs, bright straws and fresh fruit. You can arrange a fairy tale at home!
