Soy milk is the most common.

The soy product against the background of cow’s milk is distinguished by a slightly chalky consistency and a sweeter taste. It will perfectly match coffee and oatmeal, sweet pastries or the consistency of pancakes. It is worth noting that we are not doomed to a ready-made product, and we can prepare it from seeds soaked in 3/4 l of water overnight with the addition of vanilla. It is not difficult to find a researcher who will want to convince us of the harmfulness of soybean, if only because of the prevalence of GMOs, the harm to the hormonal balance, or the alleged carcinogenicity of this plant. How is it really? Can soy milk become a great alternative to cow’s milk?

Let’s start with the disadvantages … It is a common view that soy milk was often responsible for food allergies that developed over time. The second complaint is that soy is difficult to digest, which excludes patients with irritable bowel syndrome and people at risk of digestive difficulties from the group of its gourmets. In turn, the phytoestrogens present in soy alleviate the symptoms of menopause in women, and at the same time contribute to the reduction of testosterone levels in men. This is because phytoestrogens have similar properties to female hormones. The disadvantage of soy is the fact that it is one of the top plants subjected to genetic modification. GMO accounts for as much as 95% of the soybean harvest. It is believed that the isoflavones present in the plant increase the likelihood of developing thyroid diseases and breast cancer in the case of insufficient digestion of soybeans.

Certainly, the advantage of soya is the fact that it is the most complete plant protein. Amino acids will meet the expectations of bodybuilders working on the development of muscle tissue, and will also prevent protein deficiencies in vegans and vegetarians. Thanks to soy milk, we do not have to worry about the loss of skin firmness, which can occur during weight loss. In addition, soy milk does not contain two unfavorable substances: cholesterol and lactose. However, it has heart-protecting potassium, as well as allows you to achieve satiety.
