Many complications of diabetes can be prevented and their consequences alleviated. But these are not negligible and can seriously affect the quality of life. Diabetics must therefore be very well informed, respect the follow-up established by the doctor (despite the many appointments, sometimes) and develop new lifestyle habits. I still highly recommend dating a Day center for people with diabetes or support group if such a center is not accessible (see the Diabetes sheet (overview)).
