Cielo Mar & Tierra, I International Congress of Gastronomy of the Canary Islands

From August 22 to 24, 2014, the I International Congress of Gastronomy of the Canary Islands, with the slogan ‘Cielo Mar & Tierra’

The Canary Islands make their debut in the celebration of gastronomic events, and also in the middle of summer, a really important time for the community due to the large tourist influx.

The organization of the event has been carried out by the Association of Entrepreneurs and Professionals of Gastronomy and the Primary Sector.

In their constant search to promote and help local gastronomy, they seek a direct relationship with tourism and for this they have developed an extensive program with chefs, gastronomes, oenologists, cooking training centers, nutritionists, etc.

South American cuisine will be the focus around which this first edition will revolve, bringing all the participants closer to the gastronomy of countries as close at times as Bolivia, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

To make it known, the organization has had the participation of renowned Chefs such as  Kamila Seidler from Bolivia, Nelson Méndez from Venezuela, Marco Mancero from Ecuador…

An extensive program has been developed that can be consulted through the official website of the congress.

Local participation will be very important and cooks like Rubén Cabrera, Jorge Bosch Barrera and Juan Carlos Rodríguez Curpa, They will make possible the fusion between tradition and avant-garde with their elaborations.

The event will take place in the Auditorium of Tenerife and will be supported by great chefs of our country case of Rodrigo de la Calle, Marcos Morán, Sergio Bastard or Montse Estruch.

All the workshops, demonstrations, training classes are waiting for us in our Canary Islands, a good excuse to visit them during this holiday season …
