Single-headed chrysanthemum is a large herbaceous plant. The name of the plant is translated from Latin as “flower of the sun”, and this name is fully consistent with the plant. There are many varieties belonging to the category of single-headed. They can be grown in the home garden.

- “Nordstern”. Large flowers. The petals are white, the core is bright yellow.
- “Sowing”. A short plant with beautiful toothed leaves. The petals are white, 3-5 cm in diameter, there is a noticeable similarity with chamomile.
- “Coronal”. It can grow up to 1 m in height. The leaves are pinnate, slightly pointed. The flowers are small, yellow or yellow-green.
- Knop. Small yellow flowers, shaped like pompons. Blooms in early October.
- “Multiflora”. Many colors – yellow, red, white, pink, etc. It blooms in early September.
- “Vivat botany”. Semi-double large flowers with a pleasant aroma. Yellow color. Flowering time is August.
- “Kibalchish boy”. The diameter of the flowers is 5 cm. The color is rich crimson.

Growing single-headed chrysanthemums
The best growing method is from seedlings. To plant seedlings in the ground, choose a cloudy or rainy day. Dig a trench and plant the seedlings in it at a distance of 30-50 cm from each other. The distance depends on the variety and size of the future plant. Dig in the seedlings and water them with a weak root solution. This will speed up the formation of the root system. Cover the seedlings with covering material. Remove it when the plant is actively growing.

Water the flowers abundantly, they love moisture. Use only rainwater or settled water for this. Pour it at the root, try not to get on the leaves. You can add a couple of drops of ammonia to your irrigation water. After watering, loosen the soil and remove weeds.
