Christmas Spheres Recipe

Sweets at Christmas are common, but chocolate also plays a leading role, especially in desserts at Christmas lunches and dinners.

Today on Christmas Eve we are going to show you how to make delicious chocolate truffles, a really simple recipe that with good taste and imagination can dress the dessert of a Christmas table or be the perfect accompaniment to coffee during the after-dinner Christmas meal.

In yesterday’s entry, we mentioned basic desserts and sweets to celebrate the holidays, and we could clearly expand the offer with these delicious chocolate balls.

Chocolate truffles have an intense and powerful flavor and must have a uniform consistency to provide presence in the service.

In the variety that we present to you, we only add a crushed pistachio to it so that it stays inside and produces an exotic flavor in the mouth as well as a light crunch that will surely surprise.

The ingredients that we are going to use are:

  • 200 gr. de cobertura de chocolate
  • 50 gr. of butter
  • 75 ml. whipping cream
  • 5 ml. de Brandy o Coñac
  • Cocoa powder.
  • A handful of peeled pistachios

To make them, we melt the coverage by placing it in a glass container and placing it in a saucepan with hot water, for several minutes in a water bath, stirring it.

When it is completely melted, we add the butter and cream to the mixture, stirring it so that everything melts and remains homogeneous, while adding the crushed pistachio pieces

We finish getting the mixture drunk with the liquor, and let it cool in the fridge, covering it with a film, for a couple of hours.

It would only be left to shape each of our spheres, and with the help of our hands and a spoon, we make the balls, finishing them on a plate of cocoa powder, covering them perfectly.

I leave to your imagination, the creativity of how to present them!

Happy Holidays and Bon appetit.
