Cutting a rose from a beet: method 1

How to cut a beetroot rose: method 2

You can cut a rose from a beet in another way. To do this, you will need: – 1 boiled beetroot; – 1 fresh cucumber; – green onions; – salt; – a sharp knife with a thin blade or a potato chip grater; – paper towel; – sharp skewers; – kitchen scissors.

After peeling the beets, cut them into thin circles with a knife. If you are unsure of your ability to cut a vegetable neatly, you can use a potato chip grater. Arrange the beet mugs on a plate, sprinkle them with salt on top. When the vegetable is running out of juice, blot the beets with a paper towel.

Next, roll up one beetroot circle with a tube. Wrap it with a second blank, and then secure it from below with a skewer. Place the next petal slightly above the previous ones so that its center covers the edges of the second circle. Wrap the petals with the next blank and fasten with a skewer from below.

Continue wrapping the beetroot petals until you have a rose of the size you want. Do not forget to fasten every second circle with a skewer. After completing the work, cut the ends of the sticks with scissors, and then gently bend the edges of the petals outward.

Now peel the rinsed cucumber. Wrap the base of the flower with one green strip and secure it to the receptacle. Cut almond-shaped leaves from the rest of the cucumber peel. When decorating a salad or garnish with a beetroot flower, place a few leaves next to the rose. You can also make green onion stalks if you like.
