Caesarean section without stitches

Caesarean section has long been learned to do masterly. If the operation is not urgent, but is planned according to indications even during pregnancy, mommy has nothing to worry about: the suture will be neat, the anesthesia will be local (more precisely, you will need an epidural anesthesia), you can start breastfeeding right away. But this terrible word “seam” confuses many. I would like not only to become a mother, but also to preserve beauty. And even if the scar is very small and inconspicuous, it is better still without it. Surprisingly, in one of the Israeli clinics they have already learned how to do caesarean without stitches.

In the usual caesarean technique, the doctor cuts the skin, pushes the abdominal muscles apart, and then makes an incision in the uterus. Dr. Israel Hendler suggested making a longitudinal incision of the skin and muscles along the muscle fibers. At the same time, the muscles are shifted to the center of the abdomen, where there is no connective tissue. And then both the muscles and the skin are not stitched, but glued together with a special bio-glue. This method requires no stitches or bandages. And even a catheter is not needed during the operation.

According to the author of the method, recovery after such an operation is much faster and easier than after a normal one.

“A woman can get up within three to four hours after surgery,” says Dr. Hendler. – The incision is smaller than with a conventional cesarean. This complicates the operation, but not much. And there are no complications like embolism or intestinal damage after a seamless cesarean. “

The doctor has already tested the new surgical technique in practice. Moreover, one of his patients was a woman who gave birth a second time. In the first, she also had to do a cesarean. And then she left the operation for 40 days – all this time she could neither get up, much less walk. This time it took her only four hours to get out of bed.
