In order to thank doctors, medical workers and volunteers for the grueling and risky work of doctors, medical workers and volunteers, the Dove cosmetics brand has prepared a video in which it showed real photos of people after a shift in the hospital.

Recently, the Canadian arm of Dove, a well-known beauty care brand, released a video showing unadorned faces of paramedics after a shift in a hospital overcrowded with COVID-19 patients.

The Russian representatives of the company also decided to prepare such a video to thank the doctors, health workers and volunteers.

It was decided to take photographs of the hospital staff immediately after the shift: when the prints of masks and glasses were still on their faces.

“Now, more than ever, real beauty is manifested in courage – the courage of doctors. In this difficult time, our thoughts are turned to all medical professionals: we worry about them more than ever before. We thank them for their courage, determination and care for our loved ones, ”explains Dove brand manager Deniz Melik-Avetisyan.

The campaign “Beauty is in courage” is a continuation of the project for true beauty #ShowNas, which Dove has been implementing for the second year already – both in Russia and around the world.

Caring is at the heart of everything Dove does. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the brand has donated its products and protective equipment to organizations around the world, supporting those who need it most.

Over the past months, Dove has donated more than € 5 million globally to support efforts to combat COVID-19. Until the virus is defeated, the brand will financially support the organizations.

In Russia, Dove also actively contributes to supporting those who help save lives. Since mid-March, the brand began to transfer its products to infectious diseases hospitals in Russia: soap and shower gels, hand cream, deodorants – after all, medical workers and patients especially need hygiene products during quarantine. By the end of May, more than 50 units of Dove products with a total value of over 000 million rubles will be delivered.

Dove’s initiatives are an integral part of Unilever’s program to support Russian educational institutions, hospitals and the self-isolating population during a period of increased infectious diseases.
