How to cook apple and apricot compote

Products

Water – 4 liters

Apples – 4 pieces

Apricots – 10 pieces

Sugar for compote – 2 tablespoons

Sugar for rolling compote – 400 grams

Preparation of products

1. Wash 4 apples and 10 apricots under running water.

2. Remove the cores with seed pods from the apples and cut each apple into 8 pieces.

3. Remove seeds from apricots by breaking each berry into two parts.

 

How to cook compote

1. Pour 4 liters of water into a saucepan and dip the apricots and apples into it.

2. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar or more for those who like sweet compotes.

3. Put the saucepan on high heat and wait until the water boils.

4. After boiling water, reduce heat to medium and cook compote for 7 minutes.

How to cook compote for seaming for the winter

1. Put chopped apples and peeled apricots into prepared jars so that they occupy 1/3 of the jar.

2. Prepare hot syrup from 4 liters of water and 400 grams of sugar.

3. Pour the boiling syrup over the apricots and apples and let them stand in the syrup for 10 minutes.

4. Drain the syrup into a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.

5. Pour the boiling syrup over the jars and roll up.
