Tone It Up: history

Karena and Katrina are not just partners on the project Tone It Up, but best friend. As they say, they bonded over a shared love of the sport. And this is the truth, because they met just in the gym! At that time girls had almost five years of experience in the fitness industry, but both wanted to achieve something more than just going to work on personal trainers. By combining efforts, knowledge and experience they have created a project Tone It Up, which later became a successful multimillion-dollar business.

Although the girls admit that they had no long term plans or strategies, but that this was their great advantage. In developing the project Tone It Up, they did not feel any pressure and expectations. Karena and Katrina reasoned: we’re going to practice, have fun, share positive and just try to inspire other girls to workout. In 2009 they recorded their first video at the beach using an ordinary camera and tripod. And so a project was launched Tone It Up (TIU).

So just by posting on YouTube, your workouts on the beach, karena and Katrina gained a huge audience and became one of the most famous fitness trainers USA. Today they have their video channel, but also release a DVD-disks with training programs that sell their diet plans and fitness products, collaborating with designers of clothing and accessories, shot for famous magazines. And most importantly, their popularity is only growing. Step by step these girls were able to turn your small project into a real business Empire.

Karena and Katrina say that easily work over 100 hours a week: “We live and breathe Tone It Up. This is our life”. Girls are very active in social networks, they support and motivate its followers, answer questions, post recipes, shoot vlogs, share secrets and inspire community members to Tone It Up. Of course, the girls follow a healthy diet to stay in shape and prefer the correct food. But can sometimes afford little weakness – the wine and chocolate.

Karena and Katrina decided to take a chance and create a different approach in which they believed. And it worked, their followers were millions of women around the world. The passion, belief in yourself, hard work, positivity and boundless energy helped Tone It Up to create a super-successful fitness project.

Workout Tone It Up

We will tell you about several series of classes from Karen and Katrina from which to begin their training. Basically, the program is short and lasts 10-15 minutes. You can merge several video or to repeat one workout in a few laps. Recommend following about the plan:

  • 2 times a week cardio or HIIT training
  • 1 weekly workout for the whole body
  • 1-2 times a week workout for lower body
  • 1-2 times a week workouts for upper body

Tone and Shred

Program Tone and Shred created by Catherine and Karenai together with well-known Hollywood trainer Jillian Michaels. The complex includes 3 workouts of 30 minutes: full body, belly muscles for the thighs and buttocks. Classes include aerobic and power load, so you’ll tighten the muscles and to lose weight.

“Workout with Tone It Up ones are my favoritebecause their videos are always very cute, but effective, and the trainers karena and Katrina as two of sunshine, always positive and smiling – what you need to tune in to great day after a workout!

Their first training session, which I found was MaliBooty. I liked it very much, because the exercises were simple and effective, beautifully shot video – cute screen saver, music, beach, sea views. I like all of that much more than engaging look at a group of sweaty people in a grey room, where the coach is harsh or something like that.

Training is often short, which can be handy for those who have little time for exercise. But I usually make them a few laps, repeating 2-3 times. Now I’m using a program for video processing is cut into several exercises together in one video, not to switch and I love it.

Catching up with them, I bought fitness bands (mini-bands) – and exercises with them I really like, well you can work the muscles, and another plus – it is convenient to take with you on trips and not miss classes for vacation or business trip.

Again, Tone It Up I started with a fitball, and it was a very fun and effective (great job on the inner surface of the thigh, for example):
