A new way of life that our mothers and grandmothers never dreamed of

Gadgets that can turn household chores into pleasure.

Household appliances and a variety of electronics have become so firmly established in our lives that it is even difficult for us to imagine how it is possible to live without it at all. Meanwhile, electric kettles and dishwashers, microwave ovens and other indispensable devices today were not yet available to our mothers and grandmothers. And the things that we do easily and between things, some twenty or thirty years ago, took a lot of time and effort.

For example, preparing a banal Olivier for the holiday was a serious test for any Soviet woman, the severity of which usually determined the number of expected guests. And it was not so difficult to boil potatoes, carrots and eggs, as to cut them into even small cubes along with cucumbers and boiled sausage.

Let’s add here similar efforts to make vinaigrette, a frequent companion of Olivier, exhausting scrolling of meat for cabbage rolls in a manual meat grinder, cleaning an apartment with an eight-kilogram Typhoon vacuum cleaner. Whoever had it, of course, was it by hand … It is not surprising that preparations for the guests’ visit began in the early morning, and by the time of the evening feast everyone was in a festive mood, but not the hostess.

As in our days, the Soviet feast traditionally ended with a sweet table – however, guests, as a rule, were not offered a choice of tea or coffee. There was a problem with the latter in the USSR – there were no own coffee plantations in our country, imported coffee was rare and not available to everyone. But even if there were, for example, scarce coffee beans at home, they still had to be rolled in a manual coffee grinder (!), And then cooked for a long time and with ceremonies in a special turk on the stove. Therefore, almost always at the end of the festival, guests drank uncontested tea.

Fortunately, today all these things are given to us with much less blood. An Olivier salad for any number of people is prepared in half an hour, of which 29 minutes is spent peeling and boiling potatoes and carrots. Just toss all the ingredients in turn into the food processor (for example, Bosch MUM4855), and after a minute (!) all this is cut into small pieces – all that remains is to pour the peas into a bowl and mix with mayonnaise.

Minced meat for stuffed cabbage is also prepared in a matter of seconds – a modern electric meat grinder (such as the Bosch MFW68660) is capable of cranking 4,3 kilograms of meat per minute. Just have time to throw in pre-cut pieces.

Cleaning your home is not a problem with an upright vacuum cleaner that is free from atavisms like wires, a hose or a dust bag. Convenient, stylish and lightweight (less than 3kg) Bosch BBH21630R you can clean up the house easily and quickly. Well, if you are too lazy to do something yourself, a robot vacuum cleaner will come to the rescue. Although it will have to be released in advance – in terms of cleaning speed, this technique is still inferior to humans.

Finally, a coffee machine will help to prepare aromatic and tasty coffee for any number of guests. It is not necessary to splurge on top models for this – quite affordable Bosch VeroCup 100 TIS30129RW will make espresso, cappuccino, and latte quickly and efficiently.

Despite loud slogans and sincere efforts, the Soviet authorities did not manage to free the woman from kitchen slavery. Fortunately, technical progress made it for them, and we can only wonder how our mothers and grandmothers did all these things by hand and without household appliances.

At the beginning of this summer season, the Tmall online store offers special offers for Bosch household appliances, as well as a best price guarantee for over 300 items. In case the buyer manages to find the goods purchased in Tmall cheaper somewhere else, the store promises to compensate the difference in price threefold.
