A detox cure after the holidays?

Champagne, foie-gras, macaroons, the holidays were rich in festive moments… and in calories. The priority at the start of the year is therefore to regain a healthy lifestyle. And why not start a little detox cure? The principle : we reduce our diet by focusing on healthy foods while pampering our body.

Face: stop the dull complexion

Cigarette smoke, fatigue… if your complexion is somewhat cloudy, four good actions will help you regain its luminosity.

1. Start with cleanse your face well to get rid of any impurities. A makeup remover followed by a lotion or a foaming product that rinses off will do the trick.

2. Continue with a scrub to remove dead cells and cleanse your skin. If it is particularly sensitive, prefer a grain-free exfoliant.

3. Once this step is completed, your face is ready to receive all the benefits of a mask. Purifying, soothing … it’s up to you to choose the one that best suits your skin type (dry, combination or oily).

4. Finally, cocoon it well with a moisturizing serum if possible, effective because it is highly concentrated in nutrient active ingredients. And if you look really bad, apply concealer to hide the bags under your eyes. Do not hesitate to use a little foundation or a cream allowing a gradual tan for a guaranteed natural effect.

Massage: the good relaxation / anti-stress plan

Massages are great. But we don’t always have the time or the money to afford one. So, to start the year off right, indulge yourself by making an appointment at an institute. Thanks to some channels, you can pamper you without breaking the bank too much.

At Yves Rocher, for example, the relaxing massage (1 hour) costs 55 euros. Likewise, Nocibé offers a relaxing treatment for the back with marine extracts lasting 45 minutes. The Guinot Aromatic Care with essential oils is also very pleasant (from 51 euros for 55 minutes of treatment). And if you still find it a bit expensive, ask your man to make you one with why not, an oil for a little sensuality …

Unlimited vegetables and fruits after the holidays

To eliminate toxins, go green. Exit therefore alcohol, tobacco, foods too sweet and those too fatty. Instead, focus on healthy food which have a draining effect. On the program are vegetables, preferably cooked or in the form of broth, but also fruits, cereals, lean fish, white meat and plenty of water, at least 1 liters per day. You can also drink green tea, a powerful antioxidant known for its diuretic properties. The idea is not to go on a strict diet but to slowly resume good habits a healthy lifestyle!

Sleep, your best beauty ally

If you like to read the beauty tips of stars in women’s magazines, you must have noticed that most of the time they talk about “the big glass of water after a good night’s sleep”. So on the program: sleep, sleep and more sleep! Your body needs it after the short nights spent. Ideally, go to bed early and get at least eight hours of sleep. If you are on vacation, consider taking a nap in the early afternoon. 20 minutes will be enough to recharge your batteries. Also remember to take the air as often as possible. In two words : oxygenate yourself ! And don’t stay locked up. For the more courageous, (re) start sport: jogging, swimming… It’s up to you to choose the one that suits you and motivates the best. In any case, for sure, it will do you the greatest good!
