7 tips for quick cooking on vacation

We plan the recipes for the week

This allows you to do the shopping all at once and thus avoid going back and forth to the supermarket. We make reserves by providing all the basics in the freezer. for example, minced onions and garlic, aromatic herbs … In the fridge: ham, eggs, crème fraîche, parmesan or grated cheese, milk, butter, yogurts … And in the cupboard: olive oil, spices, yeast, pasta, semolina , rice…

We focus on rapid cooking

Grilled fish or meat kebabs on the plancha or barbecue, it’s quick to cook and gives a little festive side to the dishes. As for the seeds, we think of corn polenta, wheat semolina… which cook in 3 to 5 minutes max. And that’s a change from pasta and rice!

We prepare salads

We take advantage of seasonal vegetables to make large mixed salads: lettuce, tomatoes, beans … We add olives, tuna, hard-boiled eggs … And there you have it, a complete dish to enjoy with the family.

We freeze raw vegetables

To save time when you are in a hurry, you can prepare more vegetables: dice the carrots and freeze the raw pieces… All you have to do is remove the vegetables from the freezer before cooking them.

We prepare the right quantities of meat, fish

In the early years, toddlers eat small amounts of meat and fish. To avoid going to the butcher or fishmonger every day, you can buy two cutlets or a large piece of salmon for example, and cut the right quantities, then freeze them in individual bags.

We cook half portions

We prepare vegetables individually, then we combine them according to the days. For example, prepare pumpkin-carrots, pumpkin-fennel on the second day, fennel-carrots on the third day. Do not mix them, but serve them side by side.

We cook the same dish for everyone

Quickly, it is possible to offer your little one to eat like you. As long as you don’t over-salt the dishes, nor add too much fat. Even if it means adding all this to your plate afterwards.
