7 things to do in winter with your child

Winter is special every time. This is the time of “legalized” magic – New Year, Santa Claus, all that. Even if you don’t believe in Santa Claus, you still want a miracle. We invite you to make winter even more special. And a little warmer.

Someone loves winter, some do not. But everyone probably loves warmth. Except for penguins and polar bears, perhaps. But you are not them, are you? We figured out what to do together with the child in winter, so that it becomes a little warmer, and spring a little closer. At least in the shower.

1. Cut in the snow

So what if you are not five years old? So what if the mittens get wet? But it’s fun! Throw away the conventions at least once and fall into childhood, fool around without looking back at the conventions! And relax, and the nervous tension will release, and you will feel closer to the child. Play snowballs, make a snowman, go downhill, make a “snow angel” – if only for five minutes you stop thinking about how you look from the outside, you will get a lot of pleasure. And be sure to ask yourself why you haven’t done this before.

2. Go ice skating

Learning together is always more fun than alone. Therefore, grab the child in an armful – and run to the rink! You may not remember how to skate for a long time. Let it seem to you that in this warm suit you look ridiculous, and your movements resemble the plastic of a drunk giraffe. Feet will soon remember what it is like to ride. And the child, looking at you, will not hesitate to take the first steps on the ice. Still, it’s nice to know that you’re not the only one who can’t do anything. And if, on the contrary, you are a pro in skating, then you will be even more useful to your baby. Well, fitness again.

3. Cut out snowflakes

Everyone has probably already dressed up the Christmas tree. And even if not, there is still something under-decorated in the house. For example, a window. Or a wardrobe door. But you can stick so many snowflakes there! Or hang a garland made with your own hands. You know, it only at first seems like cutting snowflakes or gingerbread men for a garland is boring. The lesson is actually addictive. There is some kind of charm in this – when you sit head to head and sniff each over your masterpiece. And then you can boast uncontrollably, what a charm it turned out. Well, you will work out fine motor skills at the same time.

4. Feed the birds

Have you ever hand-fed a titmouse? Be sure to try. They’re not that shy, these birds. And so funny they cling to the palm of their tiny thin paws. Very dramatic. The kid will surely be interested. And there, you see, and it will come to the construction of a feeding trough. All she needs is a juice box and a pair of laces. And some of your precious time. But in return – invaluable leisure in the name of a good deed. And a bunch of cute photos.

5. Bake cookies

The aroma of cinnamon, vanilla, toasted nuts – um … That makes any winter warmer. Just imagine: outside the window frost, snow, rare passers-by run from lantern to lantern, wrapping themselves in scarves. And you, on this side of the window, are warm, light and incredibly cozy – you are gnawing homemade cookies and watching a good fairy tale. Maybe not a cookie? Maybe your signature pancakes? Or the walnut sponge cake that you usually only bake on holidays? Does not matter. At least popcorn. The main thing is to do it together.

6. Go to the Christmas market

It’s fun! Buy some huge gingerbread, stand, sorting through various crafts and trinkets, look at the cheerful, cold-blooded idle revelers like you. To drink mulled wine – no, we are not advocating for children’s alcoholism here, children’s mulled wine is also prepared at fairs, no wine, only juice. Or even sbitnya – mulled wine can be cooked at home, but few people dare to make sbiten. To please the child with some kind of sweetness, which becomes many times tastier because it was bought at the fair at the behest of a momentary whim. And bring home another fridge magnet – just like that, as a souvenir of a fun walk.

7. Arrange farewell to winter

Yes, she was beautiful. But it ended. And that’s good too. After all, an equally wonderful spring awaits you! After all, it is not necessary to burn something, seeing off the winter, overeat pancakes from the belly (although in the latter we see nothing wrong). Come up with your own ritual that will make you even closer than you are. For example, go to the cinema or the theater, eat a huge chocolate ice cream, buy a new large mug, or plant a tulip so that it blooms in spring. In general, the option will certainly come up with. And you and your baby will love winter even more.
