Nuts

Nuts are a great snack to have at home or take with you to work, but there are also many uses for nuts in various recipes. You can make your own almond or cashew nut milk, as well as vegan cheeses like parmesan.

They are versatile and can be used in almost any dish or added to sauces like pesto where pine nuts are the main ingredient. 

Tofu

is one of the easiest and most versatile foods to cook! This is a unique product – it is low in calories, but it is very nutritious due to the high amount of protein. Its mild flavor goes well with anything, and its protein content makes it a staple in many vegan and vegetarian dishes.

Nutritional yeast

Adored by many vegans, they add an extra cheesy flavor to dishes. You will often see them in recipes such as mac and cheese or sauces. They are also great for sprinkling some dishes. 

Nutritional yeast is made from deactivated yeast. There are two types of yeast: unfortified and fortified. Unfortified yeast does not contain any additional vitamins or minerals. Only those that are naturally produced by yeast cells during growth. Fortified nutritional yeast contains vitamins that have been added to enhance the nutritional value of the yeast.

Chick-pea

Chickpeas are a good source of protein and carbohydrates, as well as fiber. It can be added to curries, used to make falafel and hummus, and aquafaba can be used to make meringues and other dishes.  

Vegetable broth

Vegetable broth often creates the base flavor for many dishes, such as soup, quinoa, or couscous. Optionally, you can buy ready-made freeze-dried vegetable broth or make your own.
