10 foods that shouldn’t be refrigerated
 

If it seems to you that there is not enough space in the refrigerator, do not rush to buy a new one, perhaps some products simply do not belong there. So, here are 10 foods that shouldn’t be refrigerated:

1. Citrus fruits. All citrus fruits, as well as kiwi and other exotic fruits, must be stored at room temperature, as lower temperatures lead to their rotting.

2. Fruits of the pumpkin family – the pumpkin itself, zucchini, squash.

3. Onions – in the refrigerator, they begin to sprout, sometimes mold, starts to rot – they are too humid for them. The best place to store onions is dry, ventilated and cool.

 

4. Tomatoes. They deteriorate in the refrigerator, keep them at room temperature.

5. Olive oil – at low temperatures its taste deteriorates, bitterness and white sediment appear.

6. Potatoes. At temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius, starch begins to convert to sugar, which changes its taste.

7. Honey. It is also highly undesirable to keep it in the refrigerator. Low temperatures reduce the healing properties of honey.

8. Chocolate. When stored in the refrigerator, condensation forms on the chocolate bar and a white coating appears, which negatively affects its appearance and taste.

9. Bananas. Storing bananas in the refrigerator causes them to rot.

10. Coffee – its taste and quality is significantly reduced when stored in the refrigerator.
