Yoga, coloring books and a virtual psychologist: 7 apps to relieve stress

Often, stress makes it difficult to fully relax after the end of a difficult working day. Trends has selected applications that will help you relax, deal with your emotions and fall asleep quickly

Most of the apps in the collection are free. But with a subscription, more options open up for users, and the use of applications becomes more efficient. Recall that our country can no longer pay in Google Play and AppStore stores with Visa and MasterCard cards. Trends wrote in detail how to manage subscriptions without bank cards.

Headspace

Headspace was created by clinical meditation consultant and former Buddhist monk Andy Puddicombe. The application includes various meditation practices. Programs are offered to the user depending on the goal that he sets himself – to cope with daily stress, sleep more, be more energetic, try something new, learn to focus. You can choose simple techniques and use them every day or go through a meditation session.

The app works on a subscription basis. Free period – first 7 days, then – ₽169 per month or ₽1 per year.

Daily yoga

Various training schemes and yoga master classes for four levels of training: from beginner to guru. To create a four-week training plan, the user needs to indicate their body type and choose how many times a week they want to train. The application is convenient because inside each workout there is a list of used poses – you can study them separately before class.

The app offers 45 yoga courses for free with workouts ranging from 2 to 25 minutes. Access to more programs is available with a subscription costing ₽1 per month or ₽790 per year.

Loona: sleep and relaxation

Unusual application for falling asleep. It offers slipscapes – these are audio stories, during which you need to complete simple tasks – look for and color objects on the screen. A relaxing tune plays in the background. The application is interesting because the user chooses colors for coloring, sounds and style of narration according to his taste. For example, you can listen to a story about a fairy-tale castle or find yourself in the quiet outskirts of the city. According to the app developers, 83% of users start to sleep better after one week of using the app, 71% feel better after going through the first slipscape.

The app works on a subscription basis. Free period – first 7 days, then – ₽459 per month or ₽2 per year.

Thera: personal diary

Thera offers four online diaries – emotions, fears, actions and gratitude. The application analyzes a person’s emotions and invites him to answer questions that will help him better understand himself. For example, you can analyze your fears and understand how to overcome them.

The application works on a subscription cost of ₽299 per month or ₽2 per year.

“Antidepression”

This is a virtual psychologist who, with the help of typical questions, diagnoses a person’s mental state and makes up a course of sessions to overcome depressive states. For example, the application offers techniques on how to overcome apathy and indifference, how to change negative attitudes towards yourself, how to start enjoying life. It helps develop psychological self-help skills and is not an alternative to medical psychological help.

The application works on a subscription cost of ₽499 per month.

Colorfy: Coloring Games

For some, an effective way to relax is coloring books familiar from childhood. In Colorfy, you can color flowers, animal images, various patterns, mandalas, zodiac signs, food, and people. You can also draw a picture yourself and color it.

Only basic coloring pages and colors are available for free. Access to all coloring pages is available through a subscription costing ₽1 per month or ₽590 per year.

Insight Timer

Another application for meditation, which contains techniques from gurus representing different traditions and teachings. The user can choose the purpose of meditation, such as de-stressing and turning off practices that are not interesting. The application is convenient for beginners, as it has short meditations with trainer’s explanations on how to get into the right position and how to breathe in it. Classes are suitable for short breaks during remote work. Insight Timer automatically notes how many minutes you have meditated and on which days. If you wish, you can open your account for other users and receive feedback on your studies.

As indicated in the application, about 135 meditations are available to users for free.
